Kirklevington Grange Cafe — Restaurant in England

My wife and I paid a visit to the Grange, having been recommended the food, and we were not disappointed. We took the car for an inside and out valet (engine bay not touched) and a breakfast. The booking in of the car was straight forward. Work started before we even ordered and paid for our breakfast and valet. The breakfast was £8 each and included a hot drink which is a bargain. The food was fantastic quality, great portions and served promptly and freshly cooked. We both had a latte which was made using their own brand of coffee beans, which can also be purchased. The latte was serve with a small home made gingerbread man; a nice touch. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly and easily approachable. I was told than as much of the produce is grown on site as is possible. This is noticeable from the outside seating area as an orchard is close to the security fence and also greenhouses just beyond. My wife was interested in the crafts and plants/hanging baskets that were also available. Another added bonus is that dogs are also welcome. I will definitely go back. This cafe is a hidden gem, the prisoners run the cafe, they're friendly, and for most of them, this is a chance to learn valuable life skills.

Outside of the cafe, the prisoners run a car cleaning section, so whilst you have a cuppa, they are giving your car inside and out, and doing a very good job!

There is also a section where you can buy plants grown by the inmates as well as artwork that has been created by the men.

For some of the men, this is their first taste of working for a living, and hopefully by supporting them by using the facilities, we can all support them in their own efforts to break free of a cycle of crime and to become valuable...

As I was waiting for my car being valeted and washed, I had a full cooked breakfast and coffee. The food was fresh and tasty, and the service was great. It was nice to see that the dogs were allowed there, and I got to chat with the owners. Next time I'll bring my little doggies with me. The car wash and valeting is very good.
