Did I get unlucky? First and last time ordering. Vindaloo is a typical base sauce with a bit of spice and tonnes of grease. Got my rice order wrong. I ordered keema and got mushroom!!! Ordered 2 breads and only got 1 so had to go back. Both breads burnt. Thanks for ruining my night with this poor meal,👍 Should've read the warning signs of nobody eating in at 7pm

Visited on a Wednesday night for the special offer. Stayed with the king prawn butterfly, which does come with a £2 sur charge, which is understandable. Prawn is pictured. Generous sized portions, so much so that I was able to take a remaining home for lunch tomorrow. Bonus! I had the chicken korma, egg rice and garlic naan. Yummy. I will totally go again

This is a fantastic restaurant. The menu is very extensive with all the traditional dishes but also lots of different options which you don't find at most restaurants. The staff are great and the venu itself is very clean and nicely decorated inside and out with a modern twist. I would highly recommend it.

Since it opened we have been saying we should try it but always end up at our normal place in Northampton, mainly because we know what we like. But, Kohinoor is on our doorstep and we thought we would give ourselves a New Year treat and the Kohinoor certainly offers a better class of service and atmosphere compared to our normal place. So, the service couldn't be faulted, the starters were 5 star, my wife and daughter had the chicken chat which was as a chat should be, light fry with small pieces and very little sauce served with fresh puri and a small fresh tasting salad. My onion bhajis were crisp, with a great flavour and perfectly cooked inner, so far so good. Cobra was nice an at less than a fiver a pint, reasonably priced, nice to see a restaurant not milking the drinks profit (like many others around here). So on to the mains, the waiter offered us without being asked a smaller portion of korma for my young daughter for 3 quid less than list,a very nice touch. I had the chicken garlic chilli and my wife had a chicken dish from the specials, we shared a saag aloo and a veg curry and a ceylon. All nice, but,and this is to me what lets down so many restaurants today, apart from the saag aloo, the rest of the dishes all tasted heavily of the base sauce used so were quite similar in taste. OK so the Ceylon had a nice coconut taste, the chicken chilli garlic had some nice chunks of garlic and both fresh and I think a few preserved chillis, and my wife's was much the same as mine but with chicken tikka rather than plain chicken and my daughter's had coconut, almonds and cream. But all including the veg side dish were heavy on the base sauce, which was very nice but it's use overwhelmed the flavour and made all the dishes taste similar. It was nice though and we ate most of it leaving stuffed on the adequate portion sizes and fresh Nan breads. The bill was nearly £80 but that included nearly £20 for drinks and another £3.50 for a sorbet, which was from the usual Indian restaurant dessert supplier. Would we go back, yes most likely but we would have to order differently for sure so as to provide some different tasting dishes. Overall a nice experience with good service, clean surroundings, clean crappers and a nice atmosphere, much restaurant than Northants curry house. If it wasn't for the great starters though, the rating based on food would have...

I fully understand that today is Sunday 27th March and it is Mothers Day!!! Order placed at 6.40pm. Website states a 45 minute delivery time. Allow for it being Mothers Day thought maybe a 1Hour to 1Hour 15 mins time for delivery...allowing that extra time for it being Mothers Day. 7 55pm called the restaurant where is the food? Advised driver has left...so that is 1 Hour and 15 minutes since order was placed We live15 minutes away from the restaurant. 8.23pm..ring again...oh driver has left...so 1 Hr 43 minutes has now passed. Where is the food I ask ABOO from the restaurant...?? He apologised but no idea at all and would call the driver. 8.25pm ...Food arrives....1 Hour and 45 minutes later!!! I asked for a refund due to the delay. I have a 80 year old who is Diabetic and is my wife's Mum plus my wife for whom it was also Mothers Day and the reason why the meal was ordered in as I didn't want her cooking and the 80 year old didn't want to go to a restaurant. The restaurant did not want to do a refund or even a partial refund and to add salt to the wound, the food arrived barely warm as it had to be microwaved to put some heat back in it!!! What was supposed to be an enoyable family meal turned into a nightmare. A shame as the restaurant was recommended by friends, unfortunately we...

I have been a very good customer of this restaurant for many years. I ordered a huge takeaway order for collection on NYE. Collected the order around 30 minutes after phoning. Got the food home...it was luke warm & my curry had more juice than meat. When placed on the plate with my rice & dry chewy chicken...my whole plate was swimming in water!! & my rice was a soggy mushy mess!! After spending alot of money in the past at this restaurant & my disgusting 🤢 meal on NYE,I will never order from...
