La Pizzeria — Restaurant in England

We would love to review the food, however, we never received our order!!

Whilst staying locally we placed an order with La Pizzeria via FoodHub at around 9.40pm on a Wednesday evening which was immediately confirmed for delivery at our chosen available delivery slot of 10.35pm.

By 10.55pm and already 20 minutes late, I called La Pizzeria to find out where our food was to be told that their driver was '5 or 6 minutes away'.

At 11.15pm, another 20 minutes later, I called again to be told their driver was 'on his way but busy', at which point and now already nearly 45 minutes late I told them to cancel my order.

At around 11.25pm (and now 50 minutes later than confirmed) and despite me cancelling the order 10 minutes earlier, the driver tried calling me, but obviously irratated and now very hungry (and warming a tin of soup from home), this was ignored!

Very poor customer service, especially as via the App they clearly had my phone number and could've called me to let me know if they were running late and gave me the option whether I wanted to wait.

After now looking at other reviews of La Pizzeria we can see that this is not a one off occurance and actually seems to be quite common for them to do.

Our advice therefore would be to use one of the many other more reliable takeaways in and around the Barrow in Furness / Walney area for your food as you will at least...

If I could give 0 stars I would! People need to be aware... I placed a phone order for a pizza & a pot of bbq sauce. They told me it would be 25 mins wait which I thought was horrific. Then i asked the price they stated it was £6.20, they stated they had a bogof deal on so I was getting 2 for the price of one. This made up for the wait. However when I got to the shop I had to wait an extra 15 mins on top on the 25 mins.

Then it came to paying they said £17... I was confused as I already got my price over the phone. So the manager came over and shouting at me making it out to be my fault. Not only did he spit in my face whilst shouting but he took away some of my order as well. Yet he still argued I was to pay more!

This has been one of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICES I've ever had to experience. I will NEVER be going there again. The manager clearly needs to learn manners and not to over charge people for an order they have already been given a price for!

To top it all off the pizza was cold and had no taste to it at all. The bbq sauce left a nasty rash on my infants face. They are very lucky she recovered!

THE PLACE NEEDS...

Yeah, im not gonna lie I didn't have a good experience with my last la pizzeria order. I ordered a burger and a pizza so i should've got another pizza for the BOGOF offer, also i should've received a cheesey garlic bread because of the price of the order. What I actually received was the burger which was correct. I got one pizza which was topped with only sweetcorn and pineapple, this wasn't any of the toppings I ordered. I didnt receive a second pizza, i only received a cheesey garlic bread. I didn't realise this until i got home from barrow. I was looking forward to the pizzas when i got home, i thought the thing that had been forgotten was the garlic bread which i didn't mind but it was one of the pizzas. I was very disappointed when I cracked open the box. I wont lie the burger was good but the rest of the order was very disappointing.
