From the moment you step in, the aroma of spices and the warm, welcoming atmosphere make it clear that you are in for an exceptional dining experience.

Ambiance Lal Sher's interior is a harmonious blend of traditional Indian aesthetics with a contemporary twist. The decor features intricate wooden carvings, vibrant tapestries, and ambient lighting that create an intimate and cozy dining environment. The soft background music, a mix of classical Indian melodies and modern tunes, perfectly complements the setting.

Appetisers Start your culinary journey with the Paneer Tikka – succulent pieces of cottage cheese marinated in a blend of spices and grilled to perfection. The crispy Samosas, filled with a spiced potato mixture, are a delightful treat that sets the tone for the meal.

Main Course The Chicken jalfrezi is a standout, featuring tender chicken pieces in a hot sweet sour with plenty of peppers The Lamb Rogan Josh, with its aromatic spices and tender meat, is a must-try for meat,is a dish that exemplifies comfort food at its finest.

Bread and Sides: The assortment of freshly baked naan and parathas is perfect for mopping up the delicious gravies. Don't miss the Garlic Naan, which adds an extra layer of flavor to your meal. The fragrant Basmati rice, infused with saffron, is a delightful accompaniment to the curries.

This is a review of the Christmas English meal on Christmas Day. All previous Indian take outs have been good. We booked a table for 4 people Christmas Day, the atmosphere was loud and rowdy, we were seated in the bar area sadly, next to a loud speaker blasting Christmas music so loud we couldn’t talk to each other. The starter even though booked and paid a month earlier took 45 minutes to come out, salmon parcels apparently, which were a bit of salmon rolled around a few prawns and a piece of bread. Before the starters came out the servers came to us 3 times asking if we were ready for our mains… we were still waiting for starters!. The main came 40 minutes after the starters (1.5 hours wait in total), where can I start, it was nearly cold, and looked like a few leftovers, the sprouts fell apart on touching them (totally over cooked), a cold lump of mash, a single rock hard potato, a single hard parsnip, mostly dry… just horrible. The atmosphere was poor, sat next to the bar area with people shouting. We asked for the pudding (of the three course) to take away so we could leave asap! The server/manager said “I don’t blame you”, the puddings were supposed to be Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, I’ve added a picture below of the desert we were given! A total joke and waste of money, the service as a whole was unorganised madness, with no food cooking and presentation capability. Sad for a...

Paid £160 for a Christmas Day meal..what a disappointment. The place was disorganised, staff had no idea what was going on. It took 45 minutes for our cold starters to arrive, then a further 40 minutes for our luke warm roast turkey dinner to arrive. Poor to say the least. The local animal shelter were serving more appetising meals to their dogs. 8 sprouts 1 roast potato and some mashed carrots. Didn’t even stay for dessert it was that bad, got that to takeaway. Shocked when we opened it, a dry slither of Christmas pudding. Didn’t even get brandy sauce. Chucked it straight in the bin. Absolutely appalling by the food. Feel robbed they’ve taken my hard earned cash. Definitely won’t be coming again or recommending. As a business you should be ashamed the food was an...

First visit and once we got in, the Lal Sher part of the building looks great. The restaurant takes up one side of the Ye Olde Red Lion with the best entrance for it being around the back. The guys serving us were great and on the whole the food was pretty good. Some slightly ropey bits of chicken in my wife's Masala and we all felt it was rather too sweet. I had the chicken special which was really tasty with a little kick of heat but not over powering. Lamb chops and Balti for the other two in the party were also really good. We'll be coming again or at least ordering takeaway. We spent £26 on drinks. Food £80 for four people.
