Dreadful! Overpriced beach hut. Runny milkshake that were meant to be made from Kelly’s icecream but just tasted of milk. £6 each for little paper cups of what was basically milk. (The one in the photo is Raspberry ripple and the other was a millionaires shortbread. Both no flavour and a very bad advert for Kelly’s icecream (if that’s even what they used) No effort by staff, and pretty rude really. None of which seemed to even want to be there. The girl was more interested in chatting to a male friend who was stood at the front and even stopped what she was doing to go speak to him. (And there was a que at the time also) The only thing you will be coming for is the beach view and not the cafe.

Lovely little cafe on the beach absolutely perfect for snacks, lunch, drinks and ice cream while you're at the beach. Had a chicken and mozzarella ciabbata and it was fantastic. Great selection of ice cream with some unusual flavours. Staff friendly and polite. (Have upped this to a 5-star review as the staff have gone 'above and beyond' while we've been here - helping to treat some people getting stung by weever fish)

It's actually a really nice little cafe on the beach. Came here in summer last year and couldn't fault it. Came back there today and found out it had burnt down 2 weeks prior. Thoughts go out to the owners. Hope they manage to get the place rebuilt and back to how it was again. For now this cove has no amenities beyond toilets and car park.

Poor service and attitude from the owners, really dampened the end of our holiday.

We have been on the beach all week and popped up to the beach house often

I will say they do nice coffee and the crab sandwiches were lovely. But they are not set up to do the evening food.

We had pizzas on the Friday night, we asked earlier in the day what the deal was and were told there was plenty of food and should be easy. We ordered at 6.42, were not told there was any sort of wait time, although assumed it might be about half an hour.

After 45 minutes my partner went up with a few other people to check what was going on. We were ordering number 445, and numbers like 455 etc were being called out- they spoke to the male owner who just shunned it off and passed it to his wife- who then came up with poor excuses saying well it's a 45 minute wait- which we were not told about when we ordered- a women next to us wasn't told either and another was told it was only 30 minutes.

There was no empathy or real attempt at fixing the issue- we also saw the owners go and sit down and eat their dinner! Totally understand they're allowed to eat but whilst you business is obviously suffering? And people are getting angry and feeling let down by the poor service and communication? Not great.

Our pizzas then arrived at 7.45, over an hour after we ordered, for some pretty bang average pizzas- I wish we hadnt bothered and ordered food from a proper takeaway- set up to deal with pressure. The pizzas were such a waste in the end- too late for the kids to eat they ended up having sandwiches and having to go to bed.

My advice is take pre orders earlier in the day, don't bother just opening for two hours in the evening and hoping, then getting over run, do some pre orders otherwise you'll loose a lot more customers very quickly. Or get some professionals in that know what they are doing.

All in all put a rather sorry taint on the end of our...

I’d be embarrassed to work here, the standards are so low. The setting is spectacular, right on the beach, but that’s all this place has going for it.

An avocado and halloumi sandwich contained just a smear of avocado and half a cubic centimetre of cheese, amid a jungle of salad and smothered in cocktail sauce. Tables were dirty and rubbish was flying everywhere outside. Staff were disinterested and the kitchen was visibly a complete disaster with dirty dishes piled high in the sink. The card machine was out of order.

We...
