Dire. Food is not worth the price and not something I will have again. Bland and dull food served with dollops of extras that are from the cheapest available. Cheese smelled vile. Don’t go here - go anywhere else.

Additional:

I had Lasagna with coleslaw and chips. Let’s be fair - the chips were fine. The coleslaw was very finely chopped (not a problem) but had huge chunks of cabbage core in it. If it wasn’t cheap, then who ever you do get it from doesn’t care about quality. The coleslaw also has zero flavour and is beyond bland. The Tesco at Callington has some coleslaw, try it - it’s better.

The Lasagna itself was clearly microwaved. Nothing comes out steaming hot in the centre like that and cold around the edges. It was very very oily and the dried out cheese on top did smell terrible. I do hope it wasn’t a mature cheddar - I would presume on lasagna you might use an Italian cheese like mozzarella and Parmesan. The beef was bland and grainy, with no hint of seasoning or flavour. Such a heavy use of a dried out tomato sauce within the Lasagna only compounds the errors. No hint of herbs had survived the cooking process. It’s overall flavour was nothing. But it matched the coleslaw for overall taste.

Take it off the menu - it lets the whole side down.

Ketchup was nice though. Oh and the beer wasn’t too bad either. It’s clean and tidy, which is good.

Did have to ask to take my kids to the toilet on two occasions (totally fine with it and understand that’s the process at the moment). First time was fine. Second time wasn’t. When kids have to go, they have to go. We waited as long as we could and I asked a member of staff twice to be let in. I’m the end I had to take my child outside and down to the bushes as he couldn’t hold it any longer. Please make it easier for people, especially those with younger children to get use of the...

Lovely view and seemed like a nice place. We didn't go inside as we had dogs. 3 of us ate on our visit and to be fair, my wife and daughters food was good. Unfortunately I can't say the same for my food. I had the Mixed Grill and it was far from good. It looked ok and then I spotted there was no gammon, instead I had what I assume was a pork loin? It was like chewing on leather. Microwaved? One piece of chicken was clearly undercooked as part of it was raw. Dogs liked it though. The steak was the best bit, that was cooked medium rare to perfection and the sausages were tasty too. We loved the milkshakes, very nice. This was our 1st visit and I wasn't too sure where I was meant to leave our plates. I walked them towards the trolley where you collect your meals to re read the sign again and one of the female staff (not the one who served me in the window, she was lovely) was fairly rude to me as she shouted out in front of all the other customers that that was not the place to leave them, and to put them on the other trolley (pointing in it's direction). I did say I wasn't leaving them there I was simply reading the sign. Perhaps I should've not bothered to stack our own plates etc and just left them on the table like other people did. Anyway, I've given a 3 star as 2 of party had good food and we did enjoy the view. We will be back, it hasn't put me off, we all make mistakes and on the whole the reviews for...

My sister took me to this place. It was near Christmas and most tables were reserved. Seeing our disappointment one of the staff checked and said we could use one of the tables providing we were done in about hour and half. We were happy as we had been driving and phoning places and most were booked up. The staff were lovely and so helpful. We had beverages and sis had wine. Reasonable selection of hot and cold drinks. We chose our meals. They had battered fish and chips with peas and tarter sauce. I chose steak and kidney suet pudding, mash potato and veg with gravy. We did not have to wait long before it arrived. And boy there was a lot and it was nice and hot. I loved every mouthful and so did my sis and brother. Great value I thought for money. And so very tasty. When finished we chose desert and I had apple and berry crumble with custard and they chose strawberry cheesecake with cream. And once again a lot of it and very tasty. It's a lovely place and overlooks views of Dartmoor national park. Plenty of seating inside and also outside. Large amount of parking. Also disabled access. Toilets were clean. And like I said staff were lovely. All in all a warm and lovely experience and I personally...

What a fantastic find. We're staying at Homicombe Holiday Park who sadly don't cater for our Coeliac daughter. The bar staff recommended Louis' Café and we're thrilled they did. My daughter had a HUGE choice of gluten dinner options, inc. burgers (+GF bun) curries, chilli, all day breakfast chip made in a gluten free fryer and there's a gluten free cream tea....CREAM TEA ❤️. Didn't have room for puddings but there was the choice of bread and butter pudding, sticky toffee and brownies all gluten free. As we had dogs with us we had to sit outside but the views are too spectacular to go sit inside anyway. We went back THREE TIMES as we simply had to have the amazing looking GF Cream Tea too. Thank you for making a Coeliac teen feel included, welcome and very happy indeed.

We arrived without booking, the ample parking area was looking very busy and as we approached the building there was a steady stream of visitors entering the building. Despite being very busy we were able to get a table for 4 without any issues. The service was great, portion sizes were very generous, great quality reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, some of the decor was starting to look a little tired but the pictures of the local area distracted from it. They had an area where they sold local produce which also seemed popular. A great eatery set in a beautiful surroundings.
