we found this place when looking for dog & wheelchair friendly pubs when on holiday in the area. it is quite hidden away down little country lanes, it's like a perfect hidden gem! it was the pub we ended up eating out nearly every evening in the end! the staff are super friendly, the fact they remembered us was lovely.. it's a cosy interior with a quirky yet chilling vibe.. the food is just 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 if you go you MUST try the Manor House burger, it is genuinely THE best burger i have ever eaten, the bun was perfect and not a soggy patch in sight, the burger was beautifully cooked and the onion chutney tied it all together beautifully. you can taste the love and home preparedness that goes into the orders, it's not like they've been batched made and reheated which is what we've experienced from other places! honestly this pub has some of the yummiest food i've ever eaten!! and the portions are so generous, we left happy and full each evening. i'm gutted this pub isn't closer to home, if your in the area make sure you make sure you stop off! you won't regret it.

the only thing i had an issue with is twice we were met by off lead dogs - nothing to do with the people that work here but more the owners, it may be worth making sure people keep dogs on leads incase another dog or even person...

Some of the best pub food I have ever had! Me and my family have been away to Cornwall many times but we've never thought of visiting this place. The Manor House itself is located in a tranquil picture-esque village and creates an amazing homely sense. The inside is nicely decorated and is very welcoming. It's very well kept and clean, it is very much loved. The food itself was absolutely stunning. I got myself a steak and it has got to be one of the best I've ever had. It was amazingly tender and so well cooked. I got mine Medium-rare and it was so juicy and melted in my mouth. The staff were so welcoming and made sure we had everything accommodated for, including allergies. My sister is lactose intolerant so it was lovely seeing them accommodate for her and allowing her to enjoy food without any allergens involved. And for desert I got the raspberry creme brulee and it was stunning. It was super creamy and tasted amazing. The raspberry was hidden at the bottom but it added just the right amount of tartness to balance out the sweet. It was incredible. If you're passing by I'd say this is a must. Their food is incredible and most...

Firstly I would like to say that my experiences at Manor House Inn have been good with lovely food, but on Sunday 4th October 2020 was a nightmare. My partner and I have been in lock down for two weeks. First time out we wanted to go for a nice meal so we went to Manor House Inn. The landlady spoke to me when we entered the pub. We had a bottle of wine and ordered food in the bar area. There were some regulars there too. One of them decided to continue to call us emit c------, we should leave Cornwall because we are pr-----I have lived here in Cornwall for eight years and have never been so insulted. What gives him the right to think he can behave like that. The landlady told us that he had done this before. Why is that man allowed in the pub if he abuses people who arnt Cornish. He's a disgrace not only to himself but to anyone who knows him. The landlady is a lovely person and doesn't deserve anyone in her pub like that. I hope for her sake he's spoken to as I'm sure business will suffer if he's allowed to get away with this...

The place has a lovely ambience, comfortable and warm and friendly, with a wood stove to keep it that way. The staff are really nice - welcoming and informal in that way that the Cornish are so good at. They're obviously really fond of dogs - my dog was greeted even more kindly than I was, and there was water already out for four-pawed guests. The food's delicious. My sister had the burger, which she said was spot-on. Being hungry after our walk, I had the Mixed Grill, which isn't exactly the highest test of a chef's capabilities, but anyway each piece of meat was done exactly right according to its type. Summary: warmly recommended, looking forward to going there again.

This pub has been a real highlight of our 10 months travelling from Australia around the UK. The service, food and welcome are first rate. If you happen to be in Rilla Mill on a Sunday, don’t miss the carvery roast, it’s a proper treat. The locals are warm and always up for a chat, which adds to the charm. We were fortunate to meet the owners, Kim and Joss, along with the excellent bar staff, which made the visit even more enjoyable. If you’re in Cornwall and want a genuine village pub experience, this is the place. Do book ahead for dinner or the Sunday roast, as it’s understandably popular

Very friendly village pub around the Devon & Cornwall border. Sunday roast carvery is excellent as the veg is cooked in small batches and brought out fresh. You're seated, then invited up to be served so no scrummage to pick what you want on the plate. Recommend booking but walk-ins are accepted if space allows. Outside seating with undercover areas for enjoying a drink alfresco should the weather allow. Sunday is roast only but every other day there is an extensive menu of regular meals and daily specials available. Well worth a visit or two.
