I'm really getting the hump with the Fairhill branch of McDonalds. They are constantly getting my orders wrong and I end up going home to find most of my food is missing. On one occasion, I drove back to the Fairhill branch when they had LITERALLY missed off all the burgers from my rather substantial order and spoke to the manager. The manager was extremely apologetic and corrected my order. I said, "Is it definitely correct this time?". "Yes" he replies. "So you don't mind me checking then?"...
... one of the burgers was missing. 🤦♀️
I should have checked my order first time around. The sign on another disgruntled customer in the drive-thru should have been a red flag.
This place is a total farce.
Lately, I've been getting Coke Zero being given to me despite ordering Classic Coke. I can taste the difference. I asked the guy at the payment kiosk to make sure it was a Classic Coke. "Sure he replies". I ask the girl who handed me the drink to me if it was a Classic Coke and she said "Yes". Guess what? Coke Zero. Handed it back and said "Either you are getting the drinks wrong or there's a problem with your dispenser". She came back and I finally got my classic coke. If you are reading this, do a taste test at the collection window!
I know it sounds trivial, but I've never known such bad quality control or attention to detail. Also seen staff arguing. It's not a tightly run ship!
Despite this branch only being 2 mins drive from me, I'll be driving across town in future, even if it's the middle of rush-hour traffic. At least the branch near the cinema seem to get it right.
Also, it pays to complain to McDonalds HQ and ring their customer services number. I did and got a couple of vouchers for medium meals. I won't be getting them from Fairhill though!

We placed a large order with Clapham Fairhill McDonald's for our 6-year-old's birthday party – nearly £60 worth of food. You’d think with that amount of money and the nature of the occasion, some care and attention would go into the order. Sadly, what we received was nothing short of a disaster.
First of all, as a fast food restaurant, the “fast” is completely non-existent. The service was painfully slow, despite it not being overly busy at the time. And when we got the food home – a 25-minute journey – we were horrified to find key items missing. Try explaining that to a group of excited children who were now left disappointed and hungry.
The burgers that did make it were slapped together with zero care – falling apart, cold, and frankly unappetising. It felt like nobody there took any pride in their work, and it showed in every bite.
This isn’t a one-off either. We’ve given this branch the benefit of the doubt more times than we should have. Mistakes, poor quality, slow service – it’s become a pattern. We thought maybe a larger, more important order might be handled with more attention. Clearly not.
In the end, my wife had to rush to a local pizza parlour just to save the day. They were friendly, fast, and actually cared about getting the order right – everything this McDonald’s fails at.

Nearly every time we’ve visited in the last 6 months it’s been a disappointment.
One time we were told to wait at the next window only to be then told 10 minutes later there was an issue with our order (likely given to the wrong customer). No offer of refund, no attempt to smooth things over. No explanation when we requested a manager.
Last time we were given a double burger with only one burger - which I returned, only to be given it back with a fingerprint of mayonnaise in it. We were also given the wrong drink which required me to go back again.
I’ve sat waiting in the drive thru window in silence for a minute or two for someone to take my order, only to have my order taken after another customer arrived.
I’ve had to pull over after collecting my order to go back in and get straws.
It’s clear to see by the lack of response to many poor reviews and the fact that service has not gotten better that McDonalds or the Franchisee that owns this branch simply do not care about getting quality up.
That or there is something broken in how they report issues with service & food - so they simply cannot improve due to ignorance.
