Update, please read:
So disgusting, handed the lady ahead of me my meal. She took it through her car window, opened up the bag, had a look through the food and realised its not her order. She handed it back to the girl at the drivethru who then handed the lady her correct order eventually.
I was then next, and the girl handed me my meal, which was the same bag of food the customer prior was rummaging through. I know this because I recognised what had happened so I watched them place the bag to the side, but within my view, and then just picked it up and handed it to me, bag all crumpled up.
I asked for a fresh one as I spotted the customer ahead of me had been though the bag of food. The girl then turned to the lad and the female manager next to her, to tell them I want a fresh one...the manager looked at me with disgust (ironically, considering they thought it was acceptable to give me food that someone else had rummaged through, IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC...SMH). The convo between the 3, lasted around 1.5 minutes with the manager occasionally looking over at me in disgust and as if I was being a difficult customer.
I was eventually told to park in the waiting bay, and another colleague came straight out with my meal. I was watching carefully and saw then at the window just shuffling the food around and, I can't say with 100% guarantee, but considering how they handled the situation in the first place, I definitely wouldn't put it past them to not have even bothered making a fresh one.
Nasty hygiene practice!
Old review:
I only live no more than 3 mins away so when I get home my food should still be hot, but it never is from this place. It's like they do the fries and let it sit out while they wait for the rest of the meal to catch up.
And what's really disappointing is the milkshake. Twice I've ordered the vanilla milkshake and it's a slightly brown colour??? Never know this from any vanilla milkshake! Last time I ordered it, it was slightly brown throughout and tasted slightly how you'd imagine mold to taste just judging by the smell. And when I ordered it again not too long ago today, the brown colour was even darker than last time and had the same taste yet only this time with a slightly fishy taste...like wth???
Poured it down the sink but took pictures before I did just to show you how nasty it was for a milkshake that's supposed to...
Read moreOn Sunday 6th September at 10:42:39 (we kept the receipt of our purchase!) My family and I decided to grab breakfast through your drive-thru at ferndown in Dorset.
We placed our order and paid, then waited for our food at the second window. After waiting nearly 10 minutes we got given our food by a young gentleman to which we checked the bag before driving off, as we always do. Upon checking the food we had realised half of our order was missing, we then alerted the young chap to which he rudely accused us of lying and wished to see the contents of our food bag, which we kindly gave back.. he then proceeded to have a good rummage himself before walking off, somehow we had been given the wrong order which was in fact for another car (which was parked in the bay next to us). They had been given our food, of which they had put their hands in to check. After your employees had finally solved the confusion, they then attempted to give us back the bag of food, which had, had somebody else's hands in.. likewise with the other customers not only ours but by an employee (the young chap). This is cross contamination and very poor practice of cleanliness and hygiene, even more so in these current times. Especially when McDonald's won't even except cash nor a none touched drinks holder back. I was disgusted that ferndown McDonald's tried to give us back food that had someone else's hands all over it. I told them I wasn't accepting that order and to make us fresh food. I would also like to point out that two of your staff had their face masks on their chin. Disgusting service at...
Read moreThe digital concept whilst admirable appears to have made this branch in Ferndown (and others for that matter at Alder Road and Fleets Bridge), incredibly slow to serve you. Everytime I've been since refurbishment of this branch, there is literally a marauding herd of malnurished customers fixated on the small service walkway watching painfully slow employees piece together an order at a snails pace and then eventually have your order number shouted out - like its a game of bingo as you watch patrons shuffling through their receipts in anticipation of winning the meal they paid for 20 minutes earlier as a prize. It REGULARLY takes 15-20 minutes to get anything - we ordered our food and recieved a printed receipt with a date and time, but there appears to be an 11 minute delay before the slip is printed in the kitchen (also date and time stamped) and then you wait until your order is completed and someone can be bothered to hand it over - usually taking another 5-10 minutes. Is this the digital 21st century revolution? ..... Fast food served more slowly than ever, with customers having become a number, and no response from managers except to say "this is the way that it is"?? We witnessed a "female shift manager" being rude and agressive to a customer - they might speak like that at home but its not professional to lead by this example - no wonder the place is the mess that it is - dirty empty...
