Don't usually leave such poor reviews. The food was fine, typical McDonald's, but after ordering through UberEats I checked to make sure my order was right by calling, as the app had removed the customisations I'd put on. The person on the other end confirmed this wasn't the case and that everything was fine, but did it in a terse and rude way that left me feeling embarrassed for even having called in the first place. It isn't the first time I've had the order be wrong from here so I feel like I'm not in the wrong for wanting to check my order was right? I understand having a bad day, but there's no need to take it out on customers.
Edit: I'm back with a vengance, because they're worse now; Ordered off of UberEats for breakfast and though I ordered close to the cutoff time, I was still before it and thought it would be fine, it all went through and it said they were preparing my order. Not so! It kept getting passed from driver to driver and then finally the manager of the McDonalds texted through the app and said they weren't going to do it because it was now after 11... And I'm treated as if it's my fault even though I got my order in on time? Had to call Uber support to get it cancelled since they wouldn't and just let it get passed from driver to driver. Read moreBeen up all night with our very poorly nearly 2 year old. Thought I'd go get the family a mcd's brekie. Got a couple of muffins and a bottle of milk for the little one.
I noticed the milk went off today 23rd October(it's 7:40 am), so I asked for a replacement as there was no way I was giving that to an already sick child.
I explained why and all I got back from the manager was confusion and cheek. He just kept saying it's fine and that if he was in my situation he'd happily give that milk to any sick infant of his. Like I'm going to take parenting advice from this guy.
I explained that once processed, bacteria in milk builds up to the point it's deemed not safe, and in this case that date was 18 hours from now.
All this over a 90 pence bottle of milk.
He did eventually offer a replacement but not milk as that was all they had.
I don't know what's more concerning, the fact that he genuinely seemed to lack the knowledge to understand where I was comming from, or the fact that there was a complete lack of empathy to my situation.

However if we wish to persure we need to take up with restaurant direct. Tried calling numerous times with no answer so then travelled to restaurant with burger and label to be told by staff there is nothing they can do , my contract was with uber. Whilst I understand if the app is ran by uber and I may have very well paid uber but a very poor show for both companies to pass it off to one another.
