Words fail to even begin to describe this barbaric experience I have had with Kettering A14 Mcdonald’s. This one experience has altered the entirety of my view on the Mcdonald’s franchise for the worse.
My family and I were taking a long-haul drive down to Gloucester from Peterborough and we decided that the best possible thing needed was a Mcdonald’s breakfast in order to start off our journey on a high note. Furthermore, we proceeded to queue in the drive thru. The note that was once high was soon to be demolished as we were left waiting in this queue for 20 minutes, if I was in a restaurant, then there would not be a problem, however this is a Fast-food restaurant. Bill gates made $143200 in the time I wasted in this line, subsequently, beginning this experience on a low.
After we got through this monstrosity of a queue, we wait at the collection window. A worker opens the window and leaves, leaving us to think that she was getting our food, as she should have done. However, she left for a couple of minutes and came back with the following question, ‘Have we given you your food yet?’. Personally, I thought she may have been cracking a Christmas joke, although my realisation expanded to learn that this worker was being serious. I was in shock.
After waiting for a following 7 minutes, she handed us our ‘food’. For reference, I asked for: A sausage and egg mcmuffin meal, without the egg and a toffee latte. I received a mcmuffin WITH the egg and a regular coffee. I don’t think I need to describe what my parents received, as it was more idiotic than my meal.
I have never witnessed such poor service and such inaccurate meals, considering what we asked for. I’m truly appalled and disappointed. This incident has ruined Christmas and my interpretation of Mcdonald’s. This Mcdonalds need to seriously rethink who or what they are hiring as this experience was more than poor and was menacing to the Kettering society. My parents are now getting a divorce...
Read moreI always use the drive through and never have to wait too long for the food to be ready and they are always polite. There's always a fat manager working really late at night who is super friendly and always goes out of his way to help. The machines seem to never work that often. You get that once a year craving for a milkshake or a McFluffy and everytime you go, they tell you the machines are "off" or "not working" or "being cleaned which is annoying because it happens too often, i always wonder if they just can't be bothered. They seem reluctant to make changes to the burgers I've noticed like if you don't want something or want extra of another thing you will still get a basic burger or something will be wrong. Also since McDonalds started doing eco-friendly salad boxes instead of bowls and cups, the salad has become worthless. Whereas you used to get nice chunks of soft grilled chicken, now you get two dry disks of chicken that I wouldn't feed to my dogs. Disgusting and worthless. No tomatoes and you can't spread the dressing at all now either, I know its important to not use as much plastic but this seems like a bad decision. There's also never any parking and lorry drivers like to use the drive-thru as their personal bay all the time. If you just want a quick meal though its still a...
Read moreI can not really in good mind recommend this place to anyone. In my mind and probably the worst McDonald's I have ever visited and I've visited many. From ordering on the touch screen to recipt of my food, the process took in excess of 25 minutes. In my mind, this was disappointing enough. Sadly, that wasn't the end of the fiasco. The big mac looked as if it had been shot out of a cannon into the cardboard box. At no time did it look like it had and care or attention placed on it. The beef patties were also raw pink and uncooked inside, leading to much of the burger being thrown away. The chicken sandwich my wife had whilst cooked properly also looked as if it had suffered the same quality issues of throwing random ingredients into a box with sauce. I hope this is an isolated case, and I'm not overly negative towards McDonald's as my son is a manager at one branch in the Midlands. I know his branch wouldn't put out something that disappointing. As for atmospheric, I can not really comment, but many other patrons were having just as much of a disappointment time as I had waiting for similar time frames, leading to a build-up of tensions when collecting...
