Merchy's Cafe — Restaurant in England

Searching on line for a sandwich lunch, in the Martock area, Merchy’s was a perfect fit for our requirement. We were also pleased that they are dog friendly, as was our dog who received a sausage. My mistake was thinking that a sandwich was a light option. I ordered a cheese and onion toastie. It was the best toastie that I have ever had eaten. Added to that , there was salad and crisps. All of it, delicious. My husband ordered the sausage sandwich. He usually tries to persuade me to try some of his but no offer was forthcoming. He wanted it all. The service was friendly. The place was spotless. As I tried to slip a quarter of my sandwich, wrapped in a napkin, the owner came over with a take away box...

I had never been to Claire's Cafe before, I was told where it is while I'm waiting for my Nissan X-Trail to be MOTed. But I'm very pleased to say that not only they can make a really great Coffee and for only a £1, I don't know anywhere else you can buy it a coffee for that, And on top of that, Claire and her staff are so funny to talk to, I can honestly say that I was very happy and relaxed when I had to go back to the garage...

Stopped off here for breakfast on our way down to Exmouth although very busy we were made aware of the wait and it was definitely worth it 👌 the breakfast and the sausage and egg sandwich were great good portions and the quality of the food was all locally sourced I would guess because it tasted so good and not at all overpriced. If you're passing definitely give this place a try you won't be...
