We stopped at The Nags Head and were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. We quickly learned that dogs need to stay outside, but honestly, it all made sense the moment we sat down. I guess because of the most beautiful and friendliest cat who came over to say hello while we ate! He insisted on sitting on Karl’s lap n being stroked . So cute Inside, the pub had a lovely roaring fire that made it feel like a proper country farm feeling. The food was absolutely amazing and home-cooked, generous portions, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of food that leaves you feeling warm and happy. Highly recommend this place if you’re anywhere near Peterchurch. Great atmosphere, friendly locals, fantastic food, and a proper pub feel. We’ll definitely be back!

Friendly locals pub with bar and dining room. Bar has a real fire, tables and big TV. Lovely welcome from the landlady and locals, good range of beer and excellent home cooked food, very good prices and huge portions with gluten free options. Good car park with some outside seating. Easy walk along the valley from Poston Mill Campsite or the bus stops outside.

Stayed in the local area and found this little gem. Called in 3 times and ate twice. Fantastic couple who run it,friendly locals.....a proper English pub. Sunday lunch was all home cooked, really hot and tasty as was the meal we had on our last night. Wish we lived closer.

Having a family day out, on our way home we spotted a lovely country pub called The Nags Head in Peterchurch. We were hungry and decided to have our tea here. We're so glad we did. The meals we had were delicious. We didn't have to wait too long for the meals and they were presented very well. We liked the idea of the pub having a separate room for dining so you're not sat in a bar area eating. Knowing about this place now and tasted their food we will definitely be returning. 😀 Well we did return, this time for Sunday Lunch. A lamb dinner, It was lovely. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly. Plus dessert of Pimm's Trifle was delicious. The owners are really friendly with attentive service to their customers. This little English village pub is well worth travelling to. Thank you both for a...

This has to be one of if not the best pub I've ever been to for food. Between me and my family we have been here many times as we have a caravan in the local area. The food really is amazing. Karen is VERY accomodating and is more than happy to accommodate an awkward order for our 2 year old Daughter. The steak is better than any steakhouse I have been to, no exaggeration. I recently had the chilli and it was easily the best chilli I have ever tasted. There is also a good selection of desserts available that are again of outstanding quality. I would highly recommend if you are in/near to the Peterchurch area then this pub really is a must and is not one...
