Called in for a breakfast due to a glowing review from a friend. Very nice setting. Very well presented and everything looks very clean and fresh. Seated immediately and our drinks and food order was taken within a few minutes. Had a full breakfast which arrived quickly and it looked smashing. 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 thick bacon slices, Mushroom, toast, hash brown, black pudding, tomato, and a small amount of beans in a little separate ramekin. It was all top quality ingredients. The sausages and bacon were amazing. Really nice. The beans were a let down though. Not nearly enough but that is the only criticism here as everything else was spot on. Even the black pudding. I'm not a huge fan but this was pretty nice to be honest. It's. A little more pricey than other places we have tried at £13 per breakfast. But everything is nice. Not tasteless frozen sausages that are nothing more than grease and gristle in tubes, these are real, meaty sausages. The bacon is also really good. Almost like thin gammon, proper meaty and very very tasty. Not too salty but very tasty. (I hope I have got across to you that the bacon was really good!) So there you have it. A really nice breakfast, not the cheapest you will find but I my opinion, it is good. Friendly staff and the food arrived very promptly. The toilets are a delight too. They smelt good and we're very clean. The state of the loo's speaks volumes as far as...

Difficult to review fairly as we weren't allowed to eat. The sign outside saying open 9 to 4.30. it was just after 3pm, lovely lady behind the counter said if we were quick they would fit us in as they stopped doing food at 3pm (!) she was immediately countermanded by the supervisor? Who said to the lady in no uncertain terms (she did not speak to us or apologise) they were already closed holding up her phone which showed 3:03, and that was that, I see a review 7 months ago commenting that accessibility for the disabled was excellent but for the step up to the entrance, this still has not been fixed and is a problem for wheelchair users who already have enough barriers in life, For a newish business that has obviously invested heavily in the site our experience was of surprise and disappointment.

Thanks for the reply, I did say we only wanted a snack but nothing was said about coffee and cake, we would have gone for that if it had been offered. I think we were all taken aback by the frosty unhelpful person who said we were 3 minutes late, good luck with the venture it's been beautifully done, if the sign outside said lunch served until 3pm and tea and coffee until 4.30 then all would have been well, perhaps there is a sign for the disabled access so apologies...

I think some of the staff are sick of seeing my face in here. However, lately the standard of food has slipped in rather a strange way. Still beautifully cooked and presented but there have been more than a handful of times that things that should be on the plates are missing. Today, like last week for lunch I had the smoked salmon quiche. Absolutely delicious thin crisp pastry and gorgeous filling. But last week I had three small bits of salmon in the whole slice. I thought I'd just had a bad one but today apart from the missing prawns that I was told were supposed to be either in the quiche along with the salmon or on the side. There wasn't a prawn in sight! And to add insult to injury I only had two very small flakes of salmon! I was there helping a friend to celebrate her 80th birthday so didn't want to go ruffling feathers. Other missing items in the last few months have been mushrooms (I was given one the size of a £2 coin which was a side order costing £1.50, the portion of pickle missing from a pal's Steak Reuben, an egg from a fried egg sandwich for which there should have been two and the list goes on. Come on chefs at our favourite local place to go. Raise your game please. You wont get rid of me that easily but you might find new customers not...

Took the cider tour - what an authentic experience from Paul the owner and master cider maker. We learnt all about cider and perry and had a few cider myths dispelled along the way. It's a joy to sample produce from passionate independent small businesses such as this. The knowledge and craftsmanship translates into delicious products. Its a working farm so suitable footwear is a good idea for the tour. After the guided tour we sat and enjoyed the bread and cheese provided, accompanied by tastings of different ciders and perrys. We stocked up in the shop before heading home.

Really nice place for a Sunday lunch. The barn is large and was busy, but never felt crowded. Baby and dog friendly. We came in Jan but imagine it would be really nice in summer as there are surrounding orchards. Sunday roast was really nice and the cider tasting flight was a good way to try some of their different ciders. One of the waitresses was a bit grumpy but the rest of the staff were lovely, to be fair it was a busy Sunday. The shop was slightly smaller than expected, but had plenty of ciders, local beverages and items from local artists. Would highly recommend.

A must visit for those who know real cider! It's a rare find nowadays, have been going for years to get the real deal cider. Grown on site, made on site and bottled on site. The quality shows in the taste. Great service too, drive up outside and honk the horn! Brilliant, keep your local business alive and visit this traditional cidery. Very friendly owner and they occasionally sell very nice potatoes. Just go and enjoy this delicious product.
