Read edited part* Absolutely fantastic little place, beautiful views of the lake, very peaceful, the staff are so friendly. Food was amazing and great price, couldn't eat all our calzone so took some home. Would highly recommend this place, they even do Sunday breakfast, will be getting that next. We went back to take my son, food was terrible and I had a big piece of plastic in my food, no one in charge to deal with it, needless to say it put me off eating the rest of my food. Very disappointed in the service and food, will not be going back

Went to this place with 20 minutes notice. I called ahead to ask if they have a table free on a Friday night. Emma the waitress managed it. Arrived to find a lovely atmosphere with a warm greeting from Emma and John. Ordered the food which was lovely. Minor thing was my steak wrapped in bacon was a bit too rare which, after 5 minutes they sorted. John and Emma was very busy but always attentive and happy. I plan to go back and I would highly recommend the restaurant for a pleasant evening.

Loved having some amazing food and cocktails here today whilst looking out on to the lake! All of the staff are super friendly and definitely deserve the recognition, went above and beyond for our family! Could not thank them more!!❤️xx P.s the Salmon Fiourentina, Pollo Caprese and the Pollo Pescatora were phenomenal! Would definitely recommend😍

We were served by a lovely helpful lady for our breakfast at 10am on Monday. It was presented well and tasted wonderful, we could not fault it especially as it included hot tea/ coffee and toast. Great bacon and sausage, a fab start to our day and very good value !!! We will be back!

We came back for a evening meal. We were slightly disappointed, the table and menus were sticky. No eye contact from Charlie, no welcome, 15 minutes before we got our drinks order. Zoe supervisor said they hadn't been busy and she was rushing all over. The food we ordered and received was very nice but I felt we were in a cafe atmosphere. I watched Charlie take food to people plonk it down, then wander back in- to get their cutlery etc, Surely this should be given first! I think standards need to improve and Zoe was bright , chatty and helpful. Charlie was clearing tables and doing jobs but ignored another party who waited for quite a while in the door way. That lady ended up walking to the counter finally. Our meal for sharing a starter, two mains, two soft drinks and a tea and coffee came to £55 approx I was glad we had a gift voucher!

Will come again for breakfast and see how it is but not recommending as a lovely Italian restaurant for a special...

Placed order for take out and was asked to call back in half hour . Upon return was told shouldn't be too long . Half hour later came out with food and apologised saying were extremely busy . Restaurant appeared roughly half full to me but whatever. Was given armful of foil containers , which were very hot . Had to keep putting them down . Weirdly food inside wasn't that hot . Got food back to lodge and order was wrong . Missing sides on 3 of 4 dishes ordered , and at around £20 a meal not impressive . Add to that the portions were small, lukewarm (we were only 3 minute walk away, and ate immediately) and bland . £21 for barbecued ribs was 4 ribs , a small side salad and a small portion of coleslaw - chips that were mentioned on menu missing- and an incredibly rich sauce , which to be fair was it's saving grace . Mopped up with some bread and butter . 4 people ate for £80 . We filled up on bread and butter and crisps . Better off going off site to pub in...

Went for lunch today. Greeted by a friendly member of staff who said we had our pick of several tables that were free. Came and did drink order but only gave us breakfast menus. This was at 11.50. Asked if we could look at a lunch menu and another member of staff was quite bad tempered told us we couldn’t before two other members of staff said kitchen had been swapped over for lunch service. Coffees were lovely. Ordered two fish finger sandwiches and chicken burger. Fish finger sandwiches were tasty albeit very basic. Chicken burger was just an unseasoned chicken breast in a dry bread bun. Partner was very disappointed by this. Went to add BBQ sauce to his place and noticed when squeezing out, it didn’t look right. Sauce went out of date in January 2024!!! Staff didn’t seem shocked and just said ‘we’ve only been here two weeks’. Complained about both burger and sauce and had price deducted. Will not...
