PetrAnnettes Vintage Barn Café — Restaurant in England

This is, literally, in my top 10 places in the whole of England. It's the combination of the wonderful Petra, her delicious food and spectacular home-made cakes, the glorious higgledy-piggledy garden and gorgeous views (or covered area if it's raining), the cards and crafts, the vintage quilts and antiques next door... But more than anything, the place is suffused with soul, and love. I find myself a happier person whenever we swing by. Fabulous cakes (not just the usual) including a gooseberry cake with meringue, all genuinely homemade: unique atmosphere: incredible welcome from Petr on a typical English summer day… pouring with rain! But outside ( on a different day) charming setting and great views plus wildlife pond. Not too mention beautiful hand made quilts for sale… very tempting on a chill...
