What an absolutely cracking place indeed. I was looking for a bike cafe, and also a place to meet other fellow bikers and came across this.... I decided to ride down and take a look. The owner's and their staff were very welcoming and made me feel like part of the family instantly. They clearly know how to treat their customers (and fellow bikers obviously lol). The atmosphere is very friendly and I'd say it's like a home from home. I have been back there several times a week now since my first review, and every visit is just as perfect as the last. Just to add...just like the lemon cake was the best I've ever had (and I've had hundred's), every other meal has also been beautifully cooked to perfection. I will continue to be a regular customer from now on 100% (they'll probably be sick of seeing me lol).

I loved this place! Was looking for somewhere that does bubble & squeak for brekkie for hubby and quite a few people reccomended this place. Im a big fan of animals and food so what better place to take me! Staff were so friendly and welcoming, food was delicious and hot, really fairly priced too... if you love animals and are happy to see the lovely cat mooching about, a lovely dog, numerous pretty fish and a lovely parrot whilst enjoying a proper english breakfast in a cosy homey atmosphere then this is a great place :)

My first time to try this cafe for breakfast. The quality of cooking was fantastic. Very friendly staff. They were absolutely attentive to answer my question about hiring their hall for event. I loved their dog, lady Shadow on the sofa. Very well-behaved, friendly and photogenic dog. I forgot to take photo of my breakfast to share. 😂

I’m sure this place is great if you don’t have small children. I attend a toddler class held here on a Monday and have been going for the last few months, today was the last straw and I will not be coming back. Every time we have used the hall my girls have found things which are not baby safe.. sequins, sweets, beads today we found a trolley used to move the chairs. I have triplets so trying to stop 3 toddlers from playing with something not safe is impossible so I removed it from the room. Whilst I left the room I was spoken to very rudely by 2 members of staff telling me I can’t bring that out here and it belongs in the room. I’ve not seen it in there before so I said it’s never been in there and it’s not safe with the children.. the young man then came and said you can’t leave it here by the bar and stormed off with it into the room, I said again it’s not safe in here and we can’t have it in here and he again said this is where it’s always kept. Eventually he decided to put it in the closet at the back of the room.. surely this is what he should have done in the first place and instead of speaking to me the way he did he could have just said ‘ we have a safe place to keep it, let me help you’. All the other mums were shocked with his aggressive manor and the way he stormed across the room. Previous to this experience I tried to feed my girls lunch at your cafe to only find one suitable highchair...there are only 3 available but 2 of them had broken straps so again this is not safe. I ended up with one in a high chair and 2 on the sofa.. I had to use a coffee table to sit in front of them on the sofa so they didn’t fall off. I was told I can’t sit there because people eat there food off the table.. maybe someone could have offered an alternative solution rather than telling me what I can’t do, they can surely see I have my hands full. I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome anywhere I’ve been with my girls so needless to say I did not feed them at your cafe again. I also don’t see any other mums feeding them so perhaps they have had similar issues. You say that your cafe is good for kids but I’m afraid this is incorrect. If you want to provide a cafe good for kids you should encourage staff to help the customers, provide safe equipment and make the hall safe or don’t advertise as ‘good for kids’ because...

During setting up for a friend's wedding the manageress was rude to guests and spoke to them very unprofessionally, with regards to sellotape on the walls and opening of wine bottles, of which if we were informed nicely then we would not have had an issue. We were told that only corkage would need to be paid but when we arrived we were told NO we're not opening that and then the bottle was taken off of that person and put out the back, it was certainly not made clear that it was only prosecco that could be uncorked. Confetti filled balloons with coloured confetti were not allowed as they would stain the floor if they got wet, we had a whole bag of them for decoration and although I understand this surely it should have been mentioned politely when we arrived or when the arrangement was made. She was rude to other guests by the way she spoke to them, especially when an extra table was required which should have been set up to start with. But as we moved it over to make room for the entertainer she snapped and complained at us. I understand that certain things cannot be done but there is certainly a way that people should be spoken to and that was not it. A little customer service and an apology from her would go a long way especially as guests should never be spoken to in that way and as we were not made aware of these details beforehand. Although on a happier more positive note I have to say the the bar staff were fantastic and very kind and approachable and the food was nice we just did not expect to be spoken to in the way...

A long overdue review to be done but I have to say how incredible this place is. We booked the hall for a ceremony and the attention to detail in the decorations was phenomenal. We had a 3 course meal with our friends and family in the hall and everyone loved the food that was served. There was a really good variety for our vegetarian/vegan guests. The staff are amazing, Pauline is just incredible and was incredible on the lead up to the ceremony and made everything so easy for us. She really listened to everything we wanted in terms of food/decorations/layout and it was even better than what we could have imagined. Her daughter is a creative wizard and the decorations she made were mind blowing. The costing of it all was exceptionally reasonable for everything we had, even with a cheeky bouncy castle in the evening reception that the adults had more fun on.

It really is a family orientated environment, they will always go above and beyond to make whatever you want for any occasion possible.

The hot chocolates alone are worth popping in for a visit :) and a...
