We walked the coastal path and the first time we stopped here was for a quick coffee, Oat milk was available and not only was it offered hot but also given a good shake before added. Also available were some wonderful hand made #vegan flapjacks. Really glad we did stop as the cafe at Porthcurno was closed for the 2021 season. We liked it so much we drove down to the cove the following day to try the Vegan Pasties. They were well worth the periodic reversing back up the narrow lanes to let oncoming cars pass (the road is narrow). The cove was beautiful when we visited and if the rumours are true was apparently a location featured in the TV series of Poldark. The staff at Porthgwarra Cove Cafe are running a top notch establishment and thankfully are catering for those among us that like to choose a vegan food option...

Porthgwarra is definitely worth a visit but you will find limited parking. There is a good garden to eat and drink in. I ordered a dirty chai latte - it wasn’t on the menu but they said they could make it. The problem was when they came to charge for it. Usually an extra shot of coffee is charged at roughly £0.50 and on their menu a double espresso is charged at £0.20 more than a single espresso. I could not believe it when they charged £6.20 on the basis that the it was an espresso at £2.60 plus a chai latte at £3.60. There was no room for movement as “I don’t set the prices - I only work here...

Rude staff! 3 members of staff working and all seemed to be young girls with seriously bad attitude. Had a very big line of people and only one girl doing work. The other two were ignoring the whole line of customers and chatting amongst themselves. After I’d been stood for 15 mins one girl whispered to her colleague, clearly about me, and then rudely asked what I wanted. Terrible terrible service. Such a shame as the location is nice! But the staff really let this place down. Be prepared to queue and be served with bad attitude from staff who don’t care...

i wanted to use it, but i did not as i was asked by an individual from the cafe area: " what are you looking for?" - "for everything"- "the toilets are there and the cafe here. but you cannot park here, the car park is over there." so after i reparked i just used the toilets and left. i originally parked next to one house, it was public area, no note of no parking there and other cars could pas my car. i did not dare to turn uphill in sharp narrow turn into the car park but after her order i had to. i managed but it was my last time.
