Wonderful little pub. Food is absolutely fantastic , cooked to order so takes a while but is well worth the wait. Staff are super friendly and the locals are welcoming too. Nice selection of beers and whisky , with reasonable prices . The menu , although difficult to decypher , has a wide range of different foods and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.

There is not much parking and make sure you BRING CASH as it is a cash only service. One of the best little pubs in Cumbria. Well worth...

Warning: Cash only! There isn't a cash machine handy nearby either, otherwise, this place is brilliant. It's exactly how I like my pubs, no pretence. Just great food (once you decipher the extensive menu) with generous portions at good prices. A large selection of whiskey and cider. There was a selection of beers on tap and what I had was well kept and tasty and, as far as I know, they brew their beers on site.

Not much to look at from the outside. But don't be fooled, the brewery is round the back. The staff are friendly helpful and informative. This pub has a fantastic selection of beers home brewed and bought in, a bottle stock that would take you a week to get through. Whiskey's well, I counted over 25, and around 15 gin's they also do a grand assortment of soft drinks and mixers. A great find and one I will definitely be returning to.
