Fantastic Experience at The Queens Head yet again.

I had the pleasure of staying and dining at The Queens Head in Kettlesing again over the weekend just gone and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere from Louise stood out. The pub has a charming, rustic feel with a perfect blend of traditional and modern décor.

The menu offered a great variety of delicious, home-cooked dishes. I opted for the fish & chips one night and the Sunday roast on the last night, and it was exceptional—perfectly cooked meat, generous portions, and all the trimmings you could want. The locally sourced ingredients really shone through in both flavor and freshness. Their dessert menu is equally impressive, but I had to give this a miss.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making sure our experience was relaxed and enjoyable. The service was efficient, and we never felt rushed, even though the pub was quite busy.

The double act of Louise & Megan works really well and you can tell they’re passionate about that place.

Overall, The Queens Head is a hidden gem in the heart of the countryside, offering high-quality food, a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service. I highly recommend it whether you’re passing through or looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a meal. I’ll definitely be...

One of the worst Sunday lunches I’ve ever had in 40 years of eating out. I was a little sceptical of booking a table at this establishment after glancing through the photos, however the odd review won me over, what a mistake that was.|Wensleydale and bacon salad sounded interesting, it came on a tea plate and consisted of a couple of leaves of iceberg lettuce minute pieces of cheese minute pieces of apple and chopped up minute pieces of bacon. A small pot chutney a few half cherry tomatoes couple of slices of peppers that’s yer lot. I knew instantly that I’d dropped a clanger booking at the Queens Head but hoped the main course would rescue the experience, sadly not.|My steak n Ale pie , the filling was very nice but who assumes I want the gravy already poured over my pie making the pastry soggy before it even got to my table. Two roast potatoes some boring boiled broccoli and carrots and mash potato it just fell apart it was that dry!|My partner had salmon which was so dry she didn’t eat it all accompanied by the same uninspiring vegetables I had.|The food lacks presentation/ the wow factor and to add insult to injury is in my opinion way over priced for what you get compared to many other places I’ve eaten.||Realistically I can cook better at home and wish to goodness I had .|I will not ever return to the...

I stayed at The Queens Head Inn Kettlesing on Friday 18th October 2024. I am also staying at the Queens Head Inn Kettlesing on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October 2024. I have stayed at The Queens Head Inn Kettlesing many times and it is an excellent place to stay. The owners Louise and Glen together with their daughter Meghan are excellent hosts. There is free wifi throughout the hotel and bar. There is also ample car parking spaces at the hotel which is free. There is EV charging ports at the Queens Head Inn Kettlesing. The rooms are excellent at the Queens Head. Clean and tidy inside. I am staying in the Queens Flat at The Queens Head Inn Kettlesing. It is an excellent room to stay in with your own bathroom and kitchen. There is a bar at the Queens Head Inn in Kettlesing with a good choice of lagers, beers, wines and spirits. The food is excellent as well. I would very much recommend a visit to The Queens Head Inn Kettlesing.

Arrived just before 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised that the bar wasn't open till 6pm. Booked a table for dinner and settled in our room. Loved how all the rooms were named after Queens and our room was named Anne. Room was spacious and clean except for the odd cobweb, well stocked tea/coffee and a fab ensuite. Hot water was constant. The restuarant was quite busy and the service was excellent. Hubby opted for the ribeye steak whilst I dined on the fillets of seabass, 2 clean plates and the peppercorn sauce with the steak was the best we've had in a long time. Cheeseboard to share along with Irish coffee and a nice bottle of Malbec. Breakfast the morning after was another success with the full English being freshly prepared for you. Will definatley stay here again.

FLAWLESS. Three Chef's Kisses... not too much...not too little...but just right. Hands down favourite Inn of all time. A beautiful place to sleep and eat...then eat and sleep... then sleep and eat again....repeat. Traditional reasonable pub fare with steaks as thick as its mattresses, gravy as rich as it's 300/400 year history and onion rings that wouldnt look out of place on a plinth. Supported by an exquisitly stocked bar all served as if you're extended family. Brilliant breakfast, gorgeous warm spotless double room with bath and shower and parking for horses and electric cars alike. Sensible exquisitly simple luxury. Thank you Queens Head!
