Queens Head — Restaurant in England

Good food, simple menu. Unfortunately, the older male and female server need to understand customer service should be the first priority in a customer service business. Treating customers like mates you've known for 10 years when they approach the bar comes off as very rude. Also, don't allow dogs if you can't stand when they bark; especially when it's a young one. We were told to "hurry up cause we haven't got all night", after being outside for 1 hour and a half waiting, "shut your dog up or you'll have to go" and most likely more out back. The server even told us the owners are scared of our dog, she was just afraid because she's a puppy and has never been in a pub, which was explained to the server.

The worst part is there was no communication and welcome to or even any kind of attempt to understand the situation which would've made the situation a lot better for us and them. Even when ringing their attitude was appalling and rude, telling me things like "sorry the reception is bad", I mean seriously? I won't be returning here, neither will anyone else that came with me and it's not surprising the bar is empty, despite being told their earliest booking was 1...

Went here with a few mates to watch the football and have a few drinks, we were camping nearby on holiday and just wanted to have a good time. Walked in and got stared at consistently. We barely had a chance to sit down and settle when the owner came up to us immediately and rudely telling us we have to order a drink. So me and 1 of my mates trying to be friendly said ok and we bought a drink despite being rushed. 2 of my other mates who were in the middle of a darts game were also interrupted again a few minutes later telling them they have to order a drink. They were going to order a drink after finishing their game. Again being interrupted rudely. My friend then went to order a drink ( despite being £5.80 for a beer). Then when we had our drinks the owner was continuing to stare and gossip about us making us feel very uncomfortable. Especially being an ethnic minority we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I wouldn't recommend. Maybe if you aren't an ethnic minority you might find it okay. If you are then...

Unless your a local dont bother!!!called the pub in advance for a table when we got there we orderd drinks and asked for a menu!!only to be told that theres a cue and these people will be getting food before you!i dont expect to jump the cue and just went and sat down with my drinks!!other people came in the pub and what i assumed was the landlord he was going round tables asking the if they knew what they were ordering!!totally ignoring us when we had 2 young children.needless to say we drank up and took our custom elsewhere!!we had come for a break and wernt staying far from this pub,it also came recommended but i wont be recommending it to anyone and wont be returning!!!its lacking in customer...
