What a lucky find, came across this lovely place during a walk from skipton along the canal. We had a couple of nice tasty coffees and a bowl of chips to keep us going. Great value for money and lovely polite staff. The whole place was fresh like it had been newly refurbished, fresh clean toilets, tvs in the bar and great outdoor seating area.

Popped in for a drink & a bite to eat. But sadly only serve food on certain nights, which you can understand as it is in a small village. The young bar lady was lovely & very chatty. The beer garden is a sun trap šŸŒž. The upside is they take card payments & happy to do cashback

The Railway Inn is the best pub in the world. When George Orwell wrote the Moon Under Water about his fictional ideal pub, he clearly hadn’t been to the Railway Inn or he’d have just gone for a pint there and not bothered with the poem.

This is the first Google review I have ever written and I’m delighted it’s for such a brilliant place. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into every aspect of the pub and I can’t fault it on any level.

The beers are delicious. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Nothing’s too much trouble. Very reasonable prices. The food is great - we were a group of 11 who showed up without booking. We were told they were slightly understaffed so there might be a wait, but we had our food within 20 minutes. The outside seating area has a variety of covered and uncovered options. The TVs have been strategically placed, there’s also darts and an excellently maintained pool table. I was also urged by the ladies in our party to highlight how clean the place is. Apparently ladies’ loos can be a bit of a gauntlet, but those at the Railway Inn are spotless and well equipped.

We are in Yorkshire on holiday for a week and have been every day since arriving. My girlfriend is getting slightly worried that I might buy a house in Cononley simply to have the Railway Inn...

Just a nice spot to have a pint

Inside is nice and country style with TV if that's your thing but plenty of room outside the front.

The Bridgehouse Blonde was really good. We do drink it elsewhere but I must say that was a cracking example of an already good ale.

Reasonable price on the beer, friendly Landlord and a stone's throw from a cracking campsite.

The outside seating area has so much potential to be better but that would be the only comment.

Dog friendly too...

Howard and Karen are the most friendliest hosts i have ever met. They are very welcoming and you get the homely feeling as soon as you walk in as they will go out of there way to make you feel at home and you will always want to come back. Log fire to keep warm and cosy pool table and sky sports facilities and a good selection or beer, wines spirits. Keep up the good work. Barbara, kevin,...
