Well I must say I have been in a lot of poor managed pubs but this one is the clear winner, for Being the worst pub in the uk. food very poor and staff have no clue how to treat customers which I must say it’s not their fault as they are told what to do and say. I complained because one of our orders was not very nice so I sent it back I didn’t order anything else to replace it. The staff came over to our table and offered us a complimentary pudding to say sorry for the meal which we thought that was a nice gesture. When it came to pay they wanted us to pay for the main meal we returned and as we excepted the pudding it was to replace the main meal. The main meal was 13 ponds and the pudding was 5 pounds how can this be fair we offered to pay for the pudding because we had the pudding but the main meal was retuned untouched. I cannot believe that they would do such a thing I will never go in this pub again and think that pubs like this with no community values shouldn’t be operating. And is very short sighted as it’s a fast way to go under With COVID you would think that we should all support one another but clearly not for this management It’s all about the Money and not about the food or customer. I would advise everyone to find another pub that would treat you with a bit of respect.and genuinely Want to keep...
Read moreWe were a hungry family of five visiting the area for the week, and The Red Lion Inn was a fantastic find. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and offered the choice of the restaurant or bar—we chose the bar, which had a cosy, friendly atmosphere.
The menu has loads of great options, but I went for the slow-roasted Dorset pork belly with herby fried potatoes, smoked bacon, onion & chives, apple purée, pork jus, and green beans—absolutely delicious and served piping hot. The kids were happy too, which says a lot!
We were looked after by the lovely and friendly Lilia, who not only provided brilliant service but also joined in with helping us guess the song and artist titles playing in the background—such a fun extra that made the evening even more memorable.
Grandad loved the Fursty Ferret amber ale, perfect pints to enjoy alongside the great food and atmosphere.
There’s plenty of parking, a lovely garden, and a small play area for children—perfect for families.
A real gem in...
