awsome sunday roast !!!!!!!,,,,,,,, update!!!!!!! so its a few weeks later and we decided to go.on a Friday for steak , rang ahead and they said they werent busy 🤔 winning we thought , turned up and ordered steak at approx 6.30pm , after that it was like waiting for the titanic to make port in New York , eventually over 45mins later it turned up ,food was fine , noone approached us to appologise or ask us how our meal was , although two staff walked past swearing at each other ,which was nice , 1 point there for staff training . so as result downgrading to 2 stars , informimg customers of delays ,appologies, and general manners cost very little , all the staff seem about 12 and act like it , they seem more interested in socializing amongst themselves than attending to the people who pay their wages ! , look out for the next...
Read moreSince going to the Ring of Bells for our first Sunday roast, we've always rated the food, the portions are generous, and you help yourself to the accompanying cauliflower cheese, roast parsnips, potatoes and other seasonal vegetables and delicious gravy. You pay for 2 or 3 meats, and they offer children's portions. If you're still left wanting they have puddings as well. Today was Easter Sunday, and we expected it to be heaving, but were surprised that our later table meant that we were able to take our time, eat and talk. It has a good selection of beer and drinks, as a proper pub should have, and it's open throughout the day. The pub has a spacious garden, and plenty of parking. Read moreInside the pub is a small traditional style pub. Old decor etc, decent selection of cold beverages. Outside there is a toddlers play area and another area for older children. But center stage is a covered outdoor section with a scaffold section in the middle, mounting 3 large televisions. (On this occasion football was being watched, possibly the FA cup?) There is 1 bunch outside of the covered area, thankfully this table was free as i had zero interest in the football or sitting in the shade staring at a TV on a beautiful summers day.
