The car park is.on the right hand side just as you enter Burnsall village when coming from Bolton Abbey it is now a ANPR so make sure you pay and exit on time ,we parked up and went for a snack at the Riverbank café we ordered two sausage rolls and two coffees which came to £12.50 which I thought was a bit expensive ,served in a paper bag and paper cups I understand that Covid restrictions are in place but Crockery could’ve been used for the price charged , The toilets are open to the public and are maintained by the local villagers so please donate the recommended fee of 20p per person .

Last time I visited this place was a kiosk with outdoor seating. It's now a kiosk style serving indoors with both indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely range of snack food, sweet and savoury, including veggie and vegan options. Was a welcome stop at the end of a Wharfedale Walk. [Original review] Only made one visit so far after a frosty day hike but the welcome was warm, the homemade treacle tart lovely and the outdoor seating very adequate for the time of year. I'll certainly be back.

Just a lovely friendly little cafe serving excellent coffee and a good choice of sandwiches from 'posh' bacon, vegetarian and vegan, as well as warm sausage rolls and a good selection of delicous looking homemade cakes! I am coeliac and pescatarian so I had the vegetarian sandwich served with a very nice gluten free roll - and a coffee with oat milk! They are very good on their choices for people with allergens and other dietry requirements, but they don't always have everything in stock esp after a busy weekend! (No gluten free bread on the Saturday or Sunday of the BH weekend!) But an excellent place to stop, with both indoor and outdoor seating! And of course with a beautiful view across the...

I didn't try the coffee. It is more a complaint about the car park. Only once on the car park you notice you have to pay. £1. Not that expensive, but it makes the coffee rather expensive, especially as you can't pay the car park by card. Cash or on the web... With a fee. I asked to the coffee shop to get £1 cashback to pay for the car park, thinking I am going to make the most of it and enjoy a coffee for 1h. But my demand has been refused. "We don't do this, here, no we don't!" like I was asking to launder money. So I left, no coffee, but £1.20 for 10min on the car park and a picture of the...

A day visit to one of our favourite places to do one of our favourite walks...the Burnsall Circular via Linton Falls. The walk itself is fairly easy, mostly along a flat wide riverbank path. The falls are pretty, as are both the villages within this route. The return journey involves a tiny bit of uphill and a few tight squeeze stiles towards the end but nothing too challenging. I wish the ice-cream parlour had been open in Burnsall as that would have been a perfect end to a perfect day but I think we dallied too long by the river. We won't miss out next time ....and there WILL be a next...
