Rose and Crown Lytchett Matravers — Restaurant in England

We booked this for our daughter's 6th birthday to use the water park in poole then stay over in a hotel for the night as her request. We came from Brighton and was the best place we found online picture wise and Was a very good price for the room and breakfast included too. It had all you needed in it too, down to every detail was decorated beautifully and honestly pictures were lovely when we booked but doesn't do it the slightest justice on what you walk in to it was stunning. Beds were so comfortable and shower had loads of room. Newly done too as we found out later. Was a joy to stay in. The food was lovely and same for all the staff and they were on point with everything. we all had steak and it was cooked to perfection just like the rest of the meal for dinner and Food arrived in good time too. Hardly any wait even though it was quite busy. We had the breakfast meal in the morning and little one had egg and bacon again it was lovely would come again without hesitation if we come here again. My husband treated me and family to a stay here for my birthday. What a lovely place. The staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The whole place was very clean and perfect, I could not fault it. There were lots of little thoughtful touches that added to the ambience of the place. It definitey has the Wow factor. The beds were really comfortable including the pillows and the rooms had everything you could need. There was plenty of bottled water and also fresh milk for the beverages in the little fridge provided in the hall. Everything semed to have been thought of and was top quality. It was very quiet and we slept well. The full english breakfast was cooked to order and you could have the vegan/vegetarian option. There was plenty of choices and it was all good. We had a meal in the evening and all 4 of us had different choices, everyone said how delicious their meals were and the service was excellent with the staff checking that everything was OK. Me and my partner went there the day before the second Lockdown. Every other place was booked and we decided to give this place a go. Didn't regret it. We booked our table over the phone and the lady was really nice and helpful. The meal was very nice, we love seafood so we decided to try the Whitebait and the Prawns, they were both delicious (as a suggestion I would say maybe less garlic for the prawns) My partner also had the Tropical Burguer (with pineapple) and it was so good! The patty was very well seasoned and didn't feel artificial at all, very juicy. I myself had the scampi, again they didn't dissapoint, usually I order scampi everywhere I go and they are mainly batter and not much filling, this time was a pleasant surprise when I saw they were full and even better they actually had a lovely flavour! Overall, good quality food, good prices and the staff is so lovely is surreal. The ladies were all so nice! It's not too big of a place but they make you feel welcome enough so it's not awkward if you're not a regular....
