Visited the Royal Oak with friends and family on Easter Sunday. We were a hard table to deal with, as we had 5 lively kids, and 4 adults. Which 2 of us had dietary issues. The hardest one was coeliac disease (gluten free). The lovely and patient young girl Lauren, talked me through the whole the menu, about what I could and couldn't have. Which really helped. Even better though, one of the kitchen staff has coeliac disease too, so I was completely at ease! We all had 3 courses. Which were absolutely beautiful. Definitely recommend the Royal Oak to families and couples. Great place to eat.

We had a night away with the kids during half term, staying in the little apartment. We had such a great time. Perfect location for exploring Ledbury and Ross on Wye. The accommodation is immaculate. At that price point I’m not sure you’ll find better. The log burner is a lovely touch, we have one at home so the kids thought this was perfect the dog was very pleased after a brisk walk around Ledbury! They are also amazingly dog friendly, bowls, blankets (to allow a cheeky sofa snooze) and jar of treats.

Fabulous venue, plenty of parking lovely clean pub indoor and outdoor seating gorgeous plants and views. The staff are lovely and the foods amazing. Really well priced food and drinks. Has lovely art work on display thats for sale. Really looking forward to going again. My only gripe would be the toilet facilities, they're not the best unfortunately but are clean and functional.

I booked a table for lunch at the Royal Oak Much Marcle on Sunday 10 October. I ordered the roast beef, my friend the vegetarian. The beef was overcooked and so tough I could barely cut it. The waitress told me it had ben sliced earlier that morning. The roast potatoes were also overcooked in oil - there was barely any potato left inside and also hard to cut, the parsnip destroyed by over cooking. The red cabbage was OK, and the cauliflower cheese looked OK. The standard of food for the price (£13.00 i.e. comparable to the foodie pubs within a 5 -7 mile radius) was appalling. I was offered a different meat, but I went for Roast Beef. No manager was called, and we cancelled our lunch and left. Given the range of excellent pub food and Sunday lunches in the nearby vicinity I cannot...

Great pub,we were lucky enough to stay in the rooms and attend a function ,firstly I have to mention all the staff were so helpful, friendly and professional that five stars seems meagre.Ralph is also a superstar..... We attended local wedding at Homme Hall, listen to landlady about booking taxis.....shoulda'. Helped in securing ventura taxis which was much appreciated. Function room in the back provided around seventy guests decent food and an array of ales, wines and drinks for all, despite the weather, thanks again ...dogs very welcome....so much so I wish we had taken one,but were welcomed by their in house posse. Wonderful family run establishment, which deserves the awards they will...

We've been a few times in passing but we had the best food the last time we came. It advertises 'new host, new menu' outside and we chose to order from the lunch time offer. The steak was superb and the pie was amazing. The chips were chunky and crisp and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and efficient and the eating areas are light and uncrowded. The library in the back dining room has a lovely atmosphere if you like books and there's also a large function room at the back. There was a coach party there but we heard and saw nothing of them and our food arrived very promptly so don't be put off if you see a coach parked outside. We shall definitely...
