This cafe is a regular visit for me, it's perfectly situated in the centre of the village, with on street parking as well as a smaller car park opposite. There's also a longer stay car park just down the road. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting) although due to the size, it can get busy and fill quickly. There is a great selection of drinks and food, as well as local produce from breads through to cheeses and pies. The staff are very friendly and always welcoming. I like to park my motorbike outside, enjoy a coffee and scone in the sun and generally relax!

I love this cafe.plenty of seating outdoors to enjoy the good weather when we get it.ive always really enjoyed the food here so popped in to try a breakfast and I did enjoy it but not all was perfect.everything was cooked well and all the ingredients where excellent except the bacon.not sure where they get the bacon from but it was pretty bad.very very thin with loads of fat on it..shame as everything else was spot on especially the black pudding..maybe a bit on the expensive side at £12.40 but that includes a coffee and toast.will come back definitely but maybe not for a breakfast

Beautiful place with loads of delicious options. Ordered sandwiches to take on our hike and they were amazing even after a couple of hours. On the day we left we got some cheese to take with us and a couple of treats. Cheese is amazing but the chocolate treats were a disappointment, even though they only expire in March 2026 you can see in the photos the state of them. Unfortunately I live too far away to go back, very sad specially for their price. Recommend Samuel James for the hot food.

A drive into Middleton in Teesdale for a look around this lovely village . We have been before, and it's always a pleasure to visit. We went specifically for brunch/lunch. We have visited this cafe before and took advantage of a table outside in the sun. Very good menu covering breakfast into lunch and afternoon tea and cakes. We opted for bacon, brie and cranberry sandwiches which came with a delicious side salad, coffee and tea. The service was good considering the cafe was busy with customers staying to eat and also food to go. They also gave a small deli section inside which sells biscuits, bread sticks ,salad dressings and...

Everything about this cafe is top drawer I went for a ride out because the weather was better after all the rains of February, I was attracted to the Cafe it looked interesting upon looking through the window I spotted good looking home made cakes.. Well these are exceptional cakes if you have good taste and also the earl grey tea was so good I had carrot cake it was also perfect and cheesy topped. The owner and the two girls serving were so sweet .. They deserve a food/cafe Oscar They are my nomination Other customers had wholesome looking homemade dishes not ordinary way above.. I am Norman owner of the Georgian...
