Called by on the 15th March - around 9:30 - wasn’t busy but as I like to get a hot roll and a cup of tea in a proper cup rather than litter the countryside - 2nd time in this one an a week - same story it’s not busy 3 staff and not to many Drive thru clients - but what really annoys me is that people who bother to park - get off their back sides and come inside - get second class treatment from the servers and lower priority than the lazy so?s That can’t be bothered to lift there arses from the car - and what does it take 7 minutes to get a cup of tea made - here is lesson - customer asks for tea and hot roll - whilst hot roll is heating - flip the handle on the hot water urn and pour it in the cup - place at same time with heated roll - not keep a walk-in customer waiting for a simple tea whilst hot roll goes cold - this place needs a good kick up the backside - oh and by the way the toilet needs cleaning and the hand drier fixed - I guess this is owned by EG ? I can’t tell there is no info on the receipt - just store # blank and address line 1 and 2 empty - someone can’t even be arsed to...

Met my other half for our first date at this place almost exactly one year ago (obviously that went well, so here we are!). It was the perfect place, as it's open, informal, easy to get to, has plenty of parking and it happened to be the same distance for me to get there as it was for her!

Took her there again today and the layout has changed due to COVID measures and the faces behind the counter have changed, however the service was good, although I couldn't tell you if it came with a smile because the server was wearing a mask! 🙂 Only joking - he was very friendly and attentive.

We have many fond memories of our first encounter here.

The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because my cappuccino was very weak; it had hardly any coffee in it, which made it rather bland. I could have asked them to make me another and I'm sure they would have obliged, but chose not to. The lemon curd cake slice was very nice.
