Obviously a change of hands and I think the new owners game needs upping! Ordered two large breakfasts and two teas... Before hubby got back to our table, the couple after us had ordered and had their drinks and cutlery brought to their table... Our teas sat on the side by the door for 10 minutes until one of the staff happened to ask if they were ours!!! The tea was basically milky water at best. When the breakfast arrived, she had to go back for the cutlery, no serviettes brought, yet there was a huge pile above the cutlery tray, behind the counter! I asked for another tea, no teaspoon and more milky water! The bacon wasn't cooked enough, nor were the fried eggs, one of which on my husbands plate was broken and the yolk was all over the plate... I'm sorry if I sound very negative, but these are basic things when running a cafe! It's not hard to fry food correctly! Nor should it be to be organised enough to have the cutlery, serviettes delivered with the tea, to the table. There were 5 people behind the counter, yet nobody was clearing tables til one lady came out of the back to do it! It's a shame, the last owner was spot on...

Friday nights are there ever growing motorbike night a very friendly bike family and the atmosphere is so welcoming a place you can come to on your own and leave making lots of new friends and is ila wonderful site to see the car park full to the brim of different bikes from 50cc upwards. Oh my gosh. Easily the worst food I've ever been served. How can I describe it...Think 70s or early 80s truck stop, each item probably cooked in the same days old fat!!!, all it needed to complete the scene would have been to have the cook with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, ash falling and then stirred into the beans. I'm not painting the best picture, but that's the impression of the place. The coffee was utterly disgusting, not worth £1.90 as it was basically a cup of luke warm milky water. I can understand it being popular with bikers who would go anywhere just for an excuse for a ride out and talk about the 'olde days' but there's no excuse for having food cooked like...

The nearest I'll ever get to a route 66 Diner! The staff are great, friendly and efficient. Although very busy we were served within 15mins. A decent pot of tea and an excellent bacon sandwich. Lovely atmosphere plenty of parking space and a new out door dining area. Clean spacious interior and plenty of choice in the menu. And very reasonably priced. The bikers we followed in had come from Nottingham having heard of the café and the location. Not far from Elvington air museum close to York and a large retail park. Head to this place as part of an exciting day's biking!
