We visited Strong Adolfos cafe a couple years ago. It was so brilliant, we couldn't wait to go back. Obviously with a Pandemic we have had to wait, and it was well worth it.They were extremely efficient with the Covid restrictions, and made us feel safe. The staff are very friendly, and work very hard. The Cafe is decorated really nicely, it has a relaxing friendly vibe. The background music was reggae, which makes you feel happy. The food may seem a little on the expensive side, but, when you eat there, you realise this is no greasy spoon. It has more of a restaurant quality. Lots of locally sourced ingredients, It feels like a real treat. An unusual menu, full of variety, innovative flavours, and colours. A lot of thought has gone in to the menu. I had the burger, chips and salad. This does not seem out of the ordinary I hear you say? Try one!! The salad is fabulous, chips are tasty, and the burger, Wow!! The bun is light and fluffy, the beef patty cheese, sauce and pickle combination is magic. I'm always full, so never have sweet, which is a shame, as the cakes look scrumptious. Which is why so many people buy them to take away!!

Good coffee from Origin. Had to wait 45 mins for our food though, which was probably down to a shortage of chefs maybe? We had to ask for water during the wait, which perhaps could have been offered by the waiting staff who were standing around at one point. We ordered the Mexican vegan wrap and the grilled cheese open sourdough slice. My partner enjoyed his wrap. My grilled cheese although well seasoned and the cheese melted fine, was slightly let down by the very thin slice of sourdough that did nothing to hold the dense ingredients up; I could barely taste the bread as it was sliced so thinly and all the dressing weighed down and made the slice so sodden and indistinguishable from the ingredients on top. Side salad was nice though. From experience - being in the food and drink industry - I would personally suggest a thicker slice (like a door stop style) which would go better with the grilled cheese (especially since customers are paying fairly high prices too). Hopefully our next experience will be better. Thanks.

The cafe indoors has large windows that let in a lot of natural light. It was really nice perched on the bar seating against the windows. They also have a lovely patio to eat outdoors. The staff are very attentive and friendly, and the kimchi hash was excellent. Kimchi hash = these are truly homemade hash browns!!! Most establishments use frozen, premade hash browns (you know the triangle ones), but not strong Adolfos. I loved the kimchi mixed in with the thick potato slivers in this brick of a hash brown. It had a really good crusty and crispy exterior with the thick-grated potatoes on the inside - though I would have preferred a spicier kick to the hash brown. Topped with a grilled portobello and egg, it was absolutely wonderful. I appreciated that the honey was drizzled on the other edges of the plate, not coating the hash brown directly. The cappuccino was average, but the kimchi hash was so good that I'd definitely come back again to try their lunch menu!

I pulled over today on a journey home because my 2 year old was having a melt down in the car, dear of her. The cafe was closed but I asked if I could buy some cake to take away to cheer her up and they said “no problem and apologised that the coffee machines were off” they read out all of the cakes they had available and brought some over for my daughter to choose from. They offered us to sit on the picnic bench out side. Which we did. My daughter then started to cry again and then the young lady brought me out a cup of tea and offered my daughter a drink, then bringing her out a cup of milk with a lid and straw! Extremely thoughtful! I’m assuming the staff must have children to be so understanding. Then the young lady came out again asking if we would like to use the toilet before they started to mop them. Which we did!

It has been years since I have seen this level of customer service and care! I really can’t thank you enough. You made a difficult situation much better for us both! My daughter even did a dance after eating her chocolate brownie.

To top it off the cakes were amazingly delicious!!

Thank you so...

Disappointed. After seeing the reviews I felt I needed to try this place but unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. First we arrived nice and early as we had little ones. Only two tables taken so didn’t think there would be a problem seating a large family of 8 plus one 7 month old who doesn’t need a seat. We were wrong, the guy at the door was incredibly rude and just said we would have to sit at separate tables even though they were only feet apart and could be pushed together. But not wanting to disappoint the children we agreed to separate. Service was blunt and staff were moody. Issues with food were as follows- coconut smoothie tasted like soap. Pancakes under cooked. Veggie breakfast came with a pork sausage on it. Got kids order wrong but still charged us for the extra food. And the price was ridiculous, turned out being the most expensive meal of the holiday. The icing on the cake was when my husband and I returned two days later thinking maybe we got them on a bad day, only to find a family of 11 all sitting together on the very two tables we had asked to push together. Annoyed,...
