Subway — Restaurant in England

My experience at the store was very unpleasant on this visit.

There was an employee that goes by the name of Kirsty, upon ordering my food she wasn’t very welcoming. After completing my order she didn’t ask me if I would like anything else or even say thank you… to which I was a bit baffled as she had asked several customers infront of me. At this point I thought she was very rude.

I collected my food and thanked the lady who served me my order. Went and got in my car to eat my sandwich, when I went to unravel the packaging the whole sandwich had fell apart and fell over my lap and the car seats.

So I went back in and the same rude lady from before served me. She asked me what was wrong, I said about the sandwich falling apart due to it not being cut properly or packaged correctly. To which she laughed and was beginning to intimidate me, I reminded her that I’m a paying customer and I would just like my sandwich remade. I told her that I have been waiting patiently in line from the get go, she stated that she only had 3 colleagues on shift and 2 newbies. So I politely stated that there was 5 colleagues on shift. At this point She refused to remake my sandwich, so I said I would like to put in a formal complaint to which I asked her how I go about doing that. She followed by asking who is the complaint about and what’s it for, I then said it was about her and her attitude. To which she started laughing again and called me pathetic. I said to her I advise her not to laugh as she’s beginning to make a scene as there was other customers behind me waiting patiently. I asked for her name to which she didn’t give me, so out of frustration I raised my voice slightly and asked her again to make my sandwich. At which point she stormed off and her supervisor came out. The supervisor was very pleasant and friendly, remade my sandwich, gave me her colleagues name and how to go about making a complaint.

I have been a regular customer at this store for a few years and never had an issue with any of the staff, food or cleanliness. But on this occasion everything has certainly been affected.

I would like this employee to be dealt with meaningfully and seriously. She should not be working in a customer faced environment if she cannot contain...

Shocking service at this filthy subway, it should be closed down by health inspectors in my opinion.

Stopped on our way to Cornwall in early July. A very rude young lad was stocking the empty trays, he barely looked up, I said I'd nip to the loo whilst he was busy. When I tried to open the door to the loo, you needed an entry code to get in (seriously)? I went back and asked him for the code, he refused to give it to me, saying it would be on my receipt once I'd paid for my order.

I stood waiting for a further few minutes whilst he continued to refill the trays, eventually being served. I asked him to keep hold of my order whilst I then went to the loo (obviously not wanting to take my food in their with me) but he just pushed them toward me, and refused to hold on to them.

I left the order on the counter and went to the loo, it was absolutely filthy in there.

As I approached the counter to collect my order, a girl gave a code to another young girl who needed the loo, she hadn't yet been served, so I have no idea why the very rude man couldn't have done likewise.

Arrived tonight after a really long drive to get some food with my 3 daughters and my husband and received absolutely shocking customer service! My 7 year old really needed the toilet and they refused to let us use them saying that they wer closed as they was now cleaned...this was at half past 8! We argued that you cannot legally not have a toilet this early before shutting and an extremely rude young lad argued that they could shut them, then a young girl said we could use them but we would have to wait an hour for the floor to dry! Then we tried to order as much as I didn't want to but our kids wer starving then they started arguing about what breads we could and couldn't have ! We wanted to sit down and relax after a long drive ...even if this all didn't happen all the chairs were already put away so this wouldn't even be an option! My husband didn't bother having anything we just got the kids something and they ate in the car... absolutely appalling service, they are clearly trying to cut corners to be able to leave as soon as the finish rather than clean the place after...
