From the very first bite, it’s clear that the food here is nothing short of exquisite. We ordered the fish cake and the pork loin steak, and both were absolutely delicious. The fish cake was golden and crisp on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside – perfectly seasoned and paired with a dipping sauce that brought it all together. The pork loin steak? Juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor, cooked just right and beautifully plated. Each dish is thoughtfully presented like a work of art, with vibrant colors and textures that make your eyes feast before your taste buds even get the chance. The quality of the ingredients really shines through – fresh, well-balanced, and handled with care. But what truly elevates the experience is the service – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing. The atmosphere is another highlight. It’s quiet, calm, and peaceful – a rare find. The kind of place where you can actually enjoy your food, have a proper conversation, or simply unwind in a cozy setting. A hidden gem for anyone who loves great food, excellent service, and a relaxed dining experience.

Dear Symonds Restaurant, I have been recommended to try out Symonds at Redwood for a while now as I have friends that visit fairly often and I was not disappointed. We attended at dining experience with my parents which was great and it had a lovely calming atmosphere with great service. The food was delicious, well presented and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant, it was a little hard to find but there were disable spots right outside the front of the main reception (where the restaurant is situated).

My first afternoon tea and what a nice choice for this first time: everything is really nice here, starting from the surroundings, very friendly stuff and then the atmosphere in the room. 4 stars instead of 5 is for the sandwiches: I believe thery were missing a bit of a flavor, especially cucumber and eggs’ ones. If not - a great cosy place to enjoy this tradition.

Went on boxing day for lunch. Turned up and informed that it was buffet only despite there being no mention of it when booking or on the website. Front of house staff were teenagers that must have been on their first day, given they were too awkward to make eye contact and would just mumble at you. Had to decipher a hand drawn map of the table layout to know where we were seating, which wasn't in the restaurant area. Left after seeing the food, didn't fancy HMP Failand. Went down the road to a pub for proper food, proper service and...
