I was out and about looking for breakfast with my dad, headed for a much larger establishment that we were getting bored with. We saw the sign at the side of the road and decided to give it a try! The breakfast is excellent and although their supplier hadn't been with the bacon they supplemented the shortfall with an extra sausage, they are definitely putting in the effort and getting the best available ingredients. Dad had the soup and sandwich which looks excellent, dad couldn't finish his sandwich so handed me the second half which was truly delicious. Day 2: We had been talking to the owner and needed to drop some samples off, being hungry again I decided to have their scampi and chips, the chips were skin on and I think locally sourced, it seemed to be a mountain of food on the plate with peas for days and about 1/3 of the north seas daily catch of prawns! I will definitely be dropping in again, yes the food takes a little while but it is cooked freshly to order, if you want food fast, see the big M miles away, if you want good food as quickly as they can, this is worth visiting!

Such a friendly business. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Was offered blankets and cushions as we choose to sit outside. They popped the outdoor heater on for us too. I ordered soup of the day and it was absolutely delicious! This is our third visit now, we have also sampled the breakfast and afternoon tea menu both again such good value. This is such a lovely quirky place definitely recommend especially for families they have a play area /climbing frame for kids and do pony rides too.

What an amazing place to have brunch with the kids ..food is great & service is timely (always a bonus with small people who are hungry) staff are so friendly & great with the little ones - the little play park is great although I do think it may need extending once word travels about what an awesome little gem this is! The little pony/horse ride is such a fabulous addition to visiting here! We can't wait to come back! ☺️

Booked afternoon tea the day before. Wasn’t asked anything about my likes or dislikes, but I did point out my son was fussy. Arrived at the venue and a lovely lass sat us down and took our drinks order. It’s worth pointing out that you can only have afternoon tea if you book 24hrs in advance. Afternoon tea consists of a selection of sandwiches, which had the loveliest fillings (salmon, ham, tuna and cheese savoury were ours), a selection of cakes and meringues (biscoff cheesecake was lovely), and tea (I opted for wine and paid extra, rightly so). Lovely surroundings. Lovely attentive staff (don’t know the name of the lass but she was in her 20s, blonde hair & nose ring). If I had a gripe, it would be that the chairs just look shabby. They look awful and rusty, and the pads on the odd one of them look stained. Overall, lovely venue, lovely staff, decent prices....

Extremely slow service (45 mins for starters, further 50 mins for mains) - with a toddler this wasn't good. In fact people were ordering and receiving food whilst we looked on. The menu was half the size we had expected from checking online and then many items unavailable e.g. duck, pulled pork (this was 12pm on a Saturday). Starters were lovely, but mains not so - baked potato was obviously microwaved as it had pale, wet skin; the wrap was poorly filled and presented (this had been ordered on a previous visit and was miles apart in quality). Mains arrived without cutlery too which took a few minutes to be brought over - by this point we were picking at it with fingers due to the delays. The kitchen did look completely manic, despite tables only being about half full. I won't be a returning customer...
