The best lunch experience in the area! Lovely food at a very reasonable price! The Admiral Hood is often very busy (unsurprisingly!!), so make sure you book in advance! Staff are always kind and happy to accommodate any requests. Pleased to be a regular customer!

We recently had an amazing meal out here. The cosy pub setting was relaxing and pleasant to sit in. A great selection of drinks on tap and bottled as well.

The service was very good indeed, polite and friendly, our food was served very (but not too) quickly!

Three of the six of us had fish and chips, it was the best I have had for a very long time, with lovely light batter and delicate fish. The chips and onion rings are also proper pub standard, we enjoyed this very much!

Our grandparents very much enjoyed the senior citizens options - these were a selection of slightly smaller and cheaper meals, but were still a generous amount of food and great value for money.

We highly recommend and would return - an amazing choice of mains, specials, sides, desserts and 'small plates' for...

Stopped off with elderly Mum here on route back from Burton Bradstock to home. No booking made beforehand or required. Wore masks as required. All the waiting and serving staff were very polite, informative and fantastic. They accommodated us inside with drinks and went through COVID regs whilst taking our food orders. Mum had asked for a smaller size meal for her appetite. We were then offered meals outside. We had only just sat down and the food arrived. Piping hot. Mum over the moon with her smaller size ham egg and chips meal...still filling too. I had the steak and kidney pud and it was the best I have tasted...lovely fresh vegetables too. Washed down with a pint of Orchard Haze cider. Sumptuous. Customers totally satisfied. Well done Admiral Hood staff. Will be round...

Stayed in the village for four nights 8th - 11th September and pre-booked the inn a couple of days before. On arrival we were met by very pleasant staff who looked after us very well. Very good food at very reasonable prices. Before leaving the inn we booked the following 3 nights. Again, staff were very pleasant. food again 1st class. Pie night was unbelievable. Good home cooking at a very low price. A group of local customers also made us feel very welcome not something you come across very often. Our trip from the Isle of Wight was...
