Watch this space sums it up. Early days for a new team with a clear vision for their future, a local pub with knobs on! I don't drink alcohol and mistakenly thinking it was closed, I was ushered in, and immediately felt @ home. A genuine friendliness pours from ALL the staff. It's real folks! Bigger inside than it looks, informal interior and a lovely al fresco drinking/eating space outside with an unexpected covered nook that doubles as a band-stand. What's not to like? Had a really excellent Sunday roast lunch today. Lovely spicey soup followed by roast pork, and oodles of tasteful veg. Good draught beer. You have a choice of "normal" size or small. Rang for an early fri eve table for food and got in no problem. Not crowded at all, and served by friendly staff. Small limited menu with some specials for dessert. Had the squid to start and southern fried chicken, chips and coleslaw which was all delicious. Decent sized portions so no room for pud. Definitely...
