If you are looking for a nice pub in Ryde which is dog friendly and serves good food than the Fleming Arms is the one for you. We had the Vegetarian tikka masala and it was excellent. Followed that with a warm Apple pie (which tastes amazing) with ice cream and a pot of tea. Good value and being Doggie friendly is a great plus. We went back a few nights later for the best mushroom pie ever and a great quiz night. Top notch place.

Really lovely place, amazing for gluten-free. The manager even came over and spoke to us about it, they were really good and went through what we had ordered. They were aware of celiac and very understanding. I would highly recommend. It was also very reasonable pricing and came quickly. Best restaurant we visited on out whole trip. Plus very dog friendly!

Wow, this pub restaurant has been transformed by the recent owners. Lucy and her team have vastly improved the the Fleming arms, so much so that it's unrecognisable to the old establishment. Now the service and the food are both fantastic matched by the new decor.

Booked for a team lunch with work. Sat in a lovely back room, just us. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for our food, if we had been informed of a wait it wouldn't be a problem but nothing was ever said. We was also informed that there was no bacon for a BLT sandwich so 2 of the party opted for chicken instead.

When the food arrived most was absolutely fine however one of the party had a light bite lasagna that was solid, black and inedible for the most part and what they did eat was dry. The other issue with food was the a steak ciabatta came out with a cold steak, making it very difficult to chew and all chips where under cooked.

When it came to paying, the 2 that had BLT sandwiches (but with chicken) had been charged £2 each extra for a Club Ciabatta (which they didn't have) so a refund was requested but only refund for 1 was given, not both.

When these issues where voiced to a member of staff behind the bar, no apology was given and the general attitude of the member of staff was as if he just didn't care.

Have heard nothing but good things about The Fleming Arms so I would hope this is just a one off experience but it doesn't make me want to return...

We decided to eat here this evening based on the reviews and weren't disappointed!! The pub is very relaxing and spacious. When we booked yesterday, Luci advised that the time we wanted would be quite busy so there might be a bit of delay with the food but it worked better for us. The food was delicious!!! I had the homemade carbonara and it was so tasty it was ridiculous, I could taste all the different ingredients and the wine in it topped off the flavour beautifully. The other had the pork belly (which was full of flavour), the veggie bolognaise, the burger and the tapas and none disappointed. The pudding were divine!!! The Eton mess was sweet, as you would expect, but the fresh raspberries and the unbelievably light and fluffy meringue was to die for. Luci served us and couldn't do enough for us. It was priced according to the quality of the food and service. We would definitely eat here again if we ever visit the Isle of Wight in the future (which we are hoping to admits such a wonderful place!). I genuinely cannot recommend the pub enough and hope this review encourages others to visit as we were encouraged by other...

Phoned up on a Saturday evening to ask if it was necessary to book. They asked what time we would be coming and we said,”6:30” They replied” you might be ok but booking is advised.” Arrived at 6:30 to be shocked that there was only one couple in there eating. We were still shown where to sit even though it was empty, when we would have liked to of picked our own table. Totally unnecessary. Stayed until just before 9pm and in that time only two people arrived for a drink. Ordered veg root pie and it was basically just carrots in a gravy with mash on top. No other root veg in it, and it was probably one of the blandest meals I had ever eaten. It also came with two extremely small slices of bread that were slightly stale. No flavour and portions far too small. Even the burger and fries looked small. I feel sorry for any hospitality business like this that isn’t busy, but moving forward, I do hope that my review will not be taken a criticism but instead some advice to help the food and service improve. P.s. the waitress that served us had to check that the food...
