Very nice food and very reasonable price for the level of food served. Very reasonable price for drinks too. We had a starters; Smoked Salmon and Crayfish salad. Pickled crab with smoked eel. Mains; Rump of Lamb, dauphine potatoes, mushrooms, parsnip, kale cabbage, port jus. Steak and Ale pie, chips, carrots, brocoli and courgettes. Dessert; Chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce and strawberry ice-cream. Raspberry cheese cake, honey comb and raspberry sorbet. Drinks; 2 x Pints of Lime sodas 1 x Amaretto and cola 1 x Pimms and lemonade 1 x Glass of red Merlot wine 1 x Archers peach and lemonade Every dish was delightful, pleasantly and perfectly cooked. I've dined a lot at various places and this pub is on an upper level with their culinary skills. I would have expected to pay more for the food and was...

The rating of 4.8 and its foodie reputation tempted us to book as we were in the area though the lack of internal photos or indications of atmosphere should have been a warning. It was very dark and quiet on a sunny Saturday. Would have sat outside but all tables were in the shade and roadside. Menu expensive including £42 for a steak! Fish and chips was fine but very pricey and took a long time to come despite being so quiet though on menu they do warn about wait times because food is fresh. Kids’ chicken goujons disappointing. Service was fine. Perhaps it comes into its own in winter and we might have been rewarded with more adventurous ordering. I’m sure it is a local asset but wouldn’t hurry back. Drove back past the nearby Stone Trough Inn with its lively beer garden and views of Kirkham Abbey....

We have just visited the Blacksmiths Arms for lunch. We have never been before and we were just looking for somewhere nice to eat while visiting the area. After reading one of the reviews we nearly cancelled but the other reviews seemed good so we decided to risk it. We are so glad we did. Lovely, picturesque pub. The staff were attentive but not overly so. There were a few people eating when we first came in but it was a late lunch so it was quite quiet but it still had a nice atmosphere. The food was tasty, well presented and they catered very well for one of our party being vegan. Overall a lovely experience. Thank you for the vegan nut roast it was delicious. 5...

Stopped on the off chance they do food after a day out. Lucky for us, they were!Beautiful setting. Roaring fire, which was very welcome. Great value food, which was delicious. Two ciabattas with home made chips and chutney for less than £20-amazing. Lovely, friendly staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend. Gorgeous country pub less than 10 minutes off the A64.

Wonderful Sunday afternoon meal. Loved it. It is a go to for special occasions and evening meals fantastic place. It’s one of our go to places. It also does fantastic meals not just Sundays. Warm friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Photo I’ve shown just shows you I couldn’t wait to get eating and I realised I hadn’t taken a photo for my reviews I do.

Fantastic meal absolutely delicious toast dinner. Crispy Yorkshire pudding as I would hope. Excellent service and friendly staff. First time I've tried froburshires soft drinks and they were very refreshing. Would have liked to see apple pie on the menu as there were too many diff flavours on the desert but was still well done.
