Super disappointing return visit . I agree with a previous review, the staff need some customer service training in friendliness and general service, and I presume the owner, needs to slap a smile on her face and welcome her customers a bit better than she does. Waited 40 minutes for my food even after asking 15 minutes previously where my food was . People ordering before me had theirs taken out . Mine seemed to have skipped the system. In all honesty I was made to feel like a proper inconvenience and the owner snapped ..not sure if at me or staff, when I complained for a second time.. Not once was there an apology for missing food. In fact i felt they were quite rude . Another customer said the same to me so not just me. There was quite a debate over a missing drink, being told I hadn't paid when I had. To be fair it was very busy but that doesn't excuse poor customer service from all the staff, except the lady on the till. There's no friendliness from the rest of the staff and in this current climate they should be grateful to their customers. My food wasn't even great when it arrived, and was a bit cold. It's a shame but a great location, with potential to be fabulous. Which it isn't. Limit customers instead of trying squeeze every single person in. And seriously improve your customer service and friendliness. None of my table are happy to return...

Food was good. Would be nice to see better labelling of vegan options.

I bought two coffees- oat latte and a semi skimmed latte and only one was delivered. My mum ended up going and buying another coffee as they wouldn’t check I ordered and paid for two coffees. Even though I had asked for a skinny coffee and been told they only had semi, then had also ordered an oat milk coffee and she read them out to me at the end when I was paying.

Not a problem dogs are only allowed on the decking. I wouldn’t let them inside either as during our visit one little dog pooed across the decking and their owner left it and someone trod in it.

It would be nice if the lady who comes out to see all the dogs would ask first if she can pet your dog- just coming straight in for a pat without asking on the head many dogs won’t like and it’s always good practice to ask the owner and accept a no/yes - some dogs might not like being petted, in pain or painful skin or be...

A lovely little cafe' set in a pretty location. Although the prices for both food and drink are a little over the top for an independent cafe' losing it one star, (I take my own milk which makes up 80% of my latte and still get charged full price) But you do get every 7th drink off with a loyalty card. The staff are very friendly and happy to stop and chat, as are the customers who frequent it. They even provide lap blankets in case you're a bit chilly! And water and 'mooring' for your furry friends. The coffee is lovely, crockery is clean and servings are medium sized. All food and cakes are home made by very talented bakers, and tastes lovely.

The decor is rustic with mismatched chairs and tables, all wooden and 2 comfy sofas if you intend to relax there for a while.

The toilets are kept clean, but the door always remain open which I find very off-putting on the cleanliness front.

Overall, definitely a...

What a lovely dog-friendly restaurant! Staff came out with a treat for Dave right away! Breakfast was delicious. Bacon and sausage roll with hashbrowns, or the full Barge breakfast with everything; it was all yummy. Our friend ordered poached eggs on toast, and a lovely young lady came out and apologised; she felt she left them in too long and was making him more. Best service ever! Instead of feeding hard poached, she cooked more. Perfect location next to the canal and pretty barge boats. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!
