The Bob-In Café — Restaurant in England

I don’t write reviews very often but I felt like I needed to write something for the Bob-In Cafe. I’ve been to a few places since restrictions started to lift both at home in London and when visiting family in other areas of the UK and I have to say that the Bob-In has been the most impressive regarding Covid Health & Safety measures. I visited yesterday with my husband, mum and 10 month old daughter and felt incredibly safe. Everywhere was spotless, there were screens between tables inside, a clear one-way system, sanitising stations (even a brightly coloured child height one by the play park), freshly sanitised menus and a lovely clean loo where I felt comfortable changing my little girl’s nappy. Although there were lots of Covid measures, it didn’t impact the welcoming feeling from the cafe and the friendliness of the staff. Such a little gem of a cafe, we love you Bob-in Cafe. Set on the Estuary about 20-30 mins walk along the beach from Arnside. A great choice of food & drink & yummy cakes. Everyone is Always friendly & helpful. Can also be reached by car. It’s on Newbarns caravan site (but you wouldn’t know it as it’s very separate). Has great views of the Estuary. Lots of outside seating, some outside covered seating too. There’s also a kids outdoor play area. They’re very dog friendly (dog bowls, towels, dog drying station). Good toilet facilities too. They even do sausages for the dogs!! we all love it....

1 star is not low enough for this place. I purchased a food and hot drinks for me and my wife. Our child is fussy so we bring him a pack lunch. We were told we couldn't feed our child his pack lunch even though the adults had bought food and drink. We were also demanded to wear masks and was told not asked!!! You are not the law so don't make up the law. The staff weren't friendly and we felt we weren't welcome. THIS IS NOT A FAMILY...
