This cafe has now been taken over by a new company what a disappointment the food used to be so good and a very reasonable priced We called in earlier this week to find the food quality was vastly reduced a baked potato’s served with chilli and with lettuce leaves dripping with oil my meal was the same I have no problem paying extra for good food but this was extremely disappointing

Great value. Ciabtta pizza was nice and the salad was very fresh with a tasty vinegaratte. Well presented. Clean tables. I didn't have the luxury hot chocolate but it looked amazing. Bright and airy with large windows and a high ceiling. There was seating outside too. You get a discount if you're a member of the museum.

A really nice cafe with a great selection of food and drinks at a really good price. The staff are all really friendly and the service was great, a nice place for lunch when in the area.

I visited today with my parents. The older woman with short blonde hair was INCREDIBLY rude to my mum. More than once. My mum is gluten free so asked for a jacket potato as she knows it’s okay for her. My dad and I ordered the food at the counter. We asked for a jacket with tuna and cheese. That didn’t arrive so my mum asked if she could have some cheese as that’s what we ordered. The woman basically argued with us and went to get some in the end. As my mum was talking to her she just walked off mid conversation. There was also no butter with the jacket and so my mum asked again and the woman rolled her eyes and walked off without saying anything. I have worked in hospitality for years. In various roles- barista, server, and most recently a chef. Not once would I dare speak to a customer like that. I’d hate to work with this woman! This was THE WORST customer service I’ve ever had. I never bother to write reviews but this disgusted me. The food was okay, overpriced and various things we had asked for were missing or incorrect. This cafe used to be great before it...

went a few weeks back, a young woman who seemed a credit to the shop running around with no staff while the managers were sat gossiping in the back. while eating we watched them take her away from the tills to shout at her at. completely ruined our experience and i believe the managers need a lesson on customer service and treating their staff right. spoke to the young woman after her shift ended and she had more complaints about the managers than compliments. seriously need to rethink how they speak to people....

Three of us went to The Brooke Cafe for afternoon tea and it was amazing! The table was beautifully set, home made mushroom soup was delicious as was the sandwiches and cakes. All washed down with a pot of tea included! Great value for money. Staff friendly, lovely surroundings. Highly recommended! Lots of choices for vegetarians, only thing missing is the HLT (halloumi) no longer on their menu, which was yummy. Thank you for a fab afternoon, made my...
