Wife and me first visit last night for fish and chips meal. Everything perfectly cooked surprisingly as at 6pm the chef had his hands full. As on Friday evening is takeaway fish and chips. The owners are lovely and friendly. The fact they have bought the innshows in the customer care and lovely decoration. Will review tomorrow's Sunday roast. Review for Sunday roast wife had chicken breast I had lamb shank. Accompanied with roast potatoes and seasonal veg all superbly cooked. The veg was very well cooked just the way we like them not aldante. Owners and staff are so helpful and friendly but not overpowering. Can't wait to see the improvements they...

This is our local and we like it. There is a lovely family friendly atmosphere and dogs are welcome. There is a reasonable drinks range. The food has been mixed. We really enjoyed desserts but main were more mixed. Sausage and mash was delicious but missed vegetables to finish it and my partner couldn't eat a seafood dish which she thought was off. Would recommend a meal here. It was an unplanned stop and they were very helpful when we were making our selection. It was a delight to have their freshly cooked fish and chips, together with peas and tartare sauce. The chips were golden crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside - perfect! The fish tasted wonderful and it was the best fish and chips we’ve had for a long time. The next visit will definitely...

Visited with family on Mothers day for a 3pm Sunday lunch. Pub was inviting and not too busy so service was prompt with no need to go to the bar. I chose a Madri with Roast Beef for dinner followed by Mixed Berry crumble with Rhoddas clotted cream. Everything was delicious. Staff were on the ball and attentive, nothing too much trouble. Well done everyone - highly recommended for your Sunday lunch! 5 stars.

Came for a Sunday Roast, first time coming and it was fantastic. Food was amazing, I had pork belly for my roast and it was as tender as you could get it and the portion size was decent too. Friendly staff as well just made the experience all the more worth it.

Can't beat a real open fire on these cold autumnal afternoons! Especially after a delicious roast Sunday lunch at the quaint old pub! Superb roast parsnips and carrots with my tender pork... absolutely fab, and all for only £7.95!!
