Amazing food and attentive service with a smile.

An interesting concept of a sharer plate for a Sunday Roast, with the option of having a full Roasted Chicken. The dish looks and tastes the part. They advise on the menu it is suitable for 2 or 3 people, but honestly it would easily satisfy 4 to 5 adults (of a normal appetite) instead, such is the size and quantity of that platter. Even with that size, the dish loses nothing in flavour. It comes with aplenty of all the usual trimmings accompanying a Sunday Roast, the chicken is stuffed with ample sage and a full lemon leaving a fragrant inner chicken meat with a perfectly crisped exterior & skin. A wonder of a dish, that will stay long in the memory.

They have options of hand pulled ale at the bar as well as the usual beer on tap. The Wine List is short by comparitive pub standards, but it provides a choice from all the main regions and grapes; very reasonably priced wine too.

We were served by team of well trained and charming young ladies, expertly led by Daniel, the Maitre'D, who had a delightful attitude in every sense.

The main dining room is at the back of the, Pub, in a conservatory styled well-lit and airy space, with modern furnishings and generously spread out spaces between the tables. The dining room overlooks the good sized beer garden which a had plenty of swings & slides to occupy the young 'uns for hours on end.

Though the modern feel to this dining area is not quite the atypical set up for English Countryside Pub setting; but whatever it looses in a tarditinal feel, it more than makes it up in comfort and space.

Well done the whole team at The Coach House, Wooburn, from Owners to Chefs to Servers and Helpers. It takes a lot of dedication and application to provide such a smooth and pleasing experience such as we had during peak period of...

We had heard some great things about the coach house, one being ‘they do amazing roasts’. We fancied a roast one Sunday, so we thought we would book our usual pub, but unfortunately they were fully booked, so we decided to book the coach house and they were happy to accommodate us. I didn’t mention a roast on the phone, but after reading their website, ‘WE DON'T MEAN TO BOAST BUT......WE DO A BL**DY GOOD ROAST’, I didn’t feel the need. So when I booked the table they seemed to have loads of availability and could accommodate us at any time, so we chose 1pm. We arrived and went inside. We said we had a table booked and they said we could sit anywhere. It was absolutely dead in there. Alarm bells started to ring…were the roasts not good or did they even do roasts? We go out for a roast most Sundays and I have never seen a pub dead on a Sunday. We sat down and they gave us a menu and no roasts could be seen on the menu. So we asked the waitress if they do roasts and she said no not currently. She said they stop doing roasts over the summer months , because apparently people don’t like eating them in the summer. I quickly phoned a couple of pubs we know to see if they can accommodate us for a roast and all of them were fully booked, so we stayed there and ended up having a burger and chips. Taking all this into consideration, the food and service were amazing, but I was disappointed I didn’t get my roast. We might give this place another go, but maybe later in the year, when roasts are...

We had lunch at the pub today. The garden wasn't busy when we arrived, there was one table with a party of people, and the inside was fairly empty too. We wanted a snack lunch so ordered a burrata with gremolata, hummus and 2 portions of chips. 25 minutes after ordering my husband asked at the bar about how long it would be. When the food did arrive after a further 10 minutes, the 'burrata with gremolata' was just a ball of bog standard mozarella with lemon zest on - for £10, and had taken 35 mins. We complained to a waitress who went off to check, and came back to ask would we like to talk to the manager. Frankly I think the manager should have just come out at that point to address why they were mis-selling and overcharging this dish. We decided we couldn't be bothered as our baby was very hot and bothered by that point as it had taken far longer than expected. We weren't interested in staying longer than needed. I also complained about the time the food had taken to arrive and was told it was because of the party - as far as I saw they only had a couple of platters not sit down meals. We'd never been told there would be a delay with food, and wouldn't have ordered if we had. Menu seemed small with very limited vegetarian options (the burrata was supposed to have nduja on). Garden is nice enough, staff friendly if slow. Other reviews are glowing so...

Nice little pub, we went for steak which was quite good! Cooked rare as we asked and tasty. The spinach and chips it came with were ok, but nothing to write home about. We were sat in the back, and that room is very echoey even when there's no music playing. They had a lovely saxophone/singer duo who were just a bit loud, but very graciously adjusted the microphones when asked. The whole room could do with some sound baffles or fabric hanging on the walls to just take the edge off. Having said that, the space up at the bar has some tables which was a much quieter space and it was easy to hear conversation while having the music drift in, this is where we would choose to sit in future. While the staff were lovely and friendly the service was quite slow, having ordered at 7.10 we didn't get food until 7.45 which seemed odd as we were the second people there - but it was a burger night, and maybe they weren't set up for steak. We also were not seated at our reserved table, which while fine was odd, and a drink was forgot when the rush started so we had to ask again. Overall, we would go again for a good pub lunch rather than dinner. The pub is not wheelchair accessible at the back due to a step down to the blue room, but if you enter from the garden you might get a chair into the bar area though it could be a squish.
