Lovely meal out with my son while we were working locally. Been here before, it's now in new hands. I had the beef & ale pie, and he had cajun chicken burger. We managed desserts. Me the brownie and salted caramel ice cream and he the home made milk chocolate and malteser cheesecake with pouring cream. Nice spot in a village 5 mins from J15 of the M1. Convenient stopover to chill and have good food and beer. Great beer garden too.

We had a meal on Good Friday. It was our first visit after the pub changed hands and we were not disappointed! My husband loved his fish and chips…the fish was huge and very tasty. Chips nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My linguine tasted very good with plenty of salmon and prawns in it. We didn’t have dessert due to the portion sizes of our mail meal…perhaps next time. Because we will be back!

This place is great. Atmosphere is what you make but the staff there are super friendly. I love the food and the portions are not bad either. Cyclist friendly, Biker friendly. They are just really friendly. They have a nice beer garden with some covered seating. Plenty of car parking. Just a minute off the A508 in a car. It's worth a visit.

Ordered garlic prawns with aioli and bread, garlic was definitely easy garlic lots of from a jar almost as much as the prawns, the aioli was like a squirty bottle type. Whilst all ok could have been better. Ordered gourmet burger with brie and onion chutney served in a floured bun with chips and salad. Burger overcooked round the edges bit fry but tasted ok chips again crispy but couple of green ones, salad was a thimbleful of coleslaw in this teeny tiny dish with a sprig of parsley. Expected green salad not the offering we got. Upon placing the order asked if we would get pudding after if desired told no problem. Finished mains at 9.20pm enquired about puddings toldchef gone kitchen closed. Rather abrupt end to our meal. Wont be...

Rather nice pub situated near the M1 - so good for a lunch while travelling between the north and south. Looks recently refurbished and has lots of space outside with a small play area for kids. In summer good for kids but when it rains probably not the best as the is not alot of room inside for them to round around. Also I would like to see better toliet facilities - very cramped and I never saw a disabled loo. Food though is brilliant - everyone well catered for including the kids. The bill was also reasonable. Overall I liked it and would go again - I'd probably enjoy it more without children! For me the only other thing missing is a EV charging point - if they had one I'd go...

We went there for a chilled afternoon. My partner went in with a baby to get drinks and a menu. I stayed outside with our toddler in the park. When she asked for the menu was told the kitchen closed for orders in 5 mins and found the person behind the bar to be quite rude.

When she asked for help with the drinks she was told to get on with it herself. We also ordered some chips as it was too early for dinner and for the money we’re very disappointed with the small portion of not...
