When our pup turned 4, we decided he should spend his birthday in his (and our) favourite dog friendly coffee shop.
We had the most delicious cream tea, freshly baked scones with local jam and clotted cream. Honestly couldn’t beat it. Fabulous service as always and Andrea even treated the birthday boy (StanWhatsThePlan) to some strawberries! This place is a real community gem. Filled with locals, holiday makers, workers stopping for a coffee and people passing through, the atmosphere is second to none.
And yes, that is a silly hat and t-shirt for the birthday pup… life is for living (bonkers bits and all), and enjoying great coffee...

We visited with our little dog who was immediately greeted with a gravy bone, he was very happy to accept! We had a delicious cream tea, with cream from local jersey cattle, and my partner had a kinder bueno iced latte which looked amazing and rated 10/10. I was flagging and, not only was there a great locals atmosphere in this pretty village cafe, but the coffee was 10/10 and the Cornish Brie sandwich was amazing.
The owner offered to refill my water bottle and told me where the local (amazing clean!) toilets were - which was really helpful and needed as someone on an all-day ride.
