I came to get a meal with my family but got turned away, not because of lack of tables, but being accused of doing drugs in the car park before entering. I am diabetic, was checking sugar levels and taking insulin before entering

Upon walking to the door 2 members of staff asked me to leave because "they knew what I was up to and I could not enter". I was confused by the statement and asked them to elaborate but was informed that the owner had sent them out as she was watching us in the vehicle. It was an assumption of taking drugs that led to this awful welcome, I've never been asked to leave anywhere, especially before getting in and for taking medication...

Very disappointing and embarrassing as there were people sat outside witnessing this. EDIT: I do not have the wrong place, I live locally and know You're located between Kings Cliffe and Stamford. Your response shows your ignorance and I'll be happy to come back for the conversation you refused to have on the day, instead sending 2 barmaids out of the front where you have a small seating area before entering.

RECOMMEND - The Royal Oak, Duddington. Offers great service, fantastic with my 6 year old daughter, provided off the menu items and the food...

Thoroughly disappointing meal. I very rarely post reviews, especially negative ones, but I felt feedback would be useful in this case. It's a nice enough pub but the meal I ordered arrived without half the items stated on the menu. When I queried this I was told that they didn't have those items so I was given the alternatives rather than nothing. What was on my plate really wasn't great. A different meal would have taken too long so I sent mine back & my husband & children ate without me. My husbands meal was OK but without much flavour. My son ordered tomato pasta & was given a huge bowl of overcooked pasta mixed with basic passata plus a slice of garlic bread (which he did enjoy!). My daughter did really enjoy her fish & chips but neither of my children had any vegetables on their plates at all. It did transpire that they only had one chef in, so maybe it was an off night, however I don't think we'll risk it again, particularly as the food prices weren't cheap! I will say that the waitress was very polite & getting a refund for my meal wasn't a problem. She also did try to help by bringing fresh (not overcooked) broccoli but unfortunately it wasn't...

The food was lovely and served hot. Except for the fact that my bread which was served with my starter had blue mold on it. The sauces with the main course didnt come out with the meals .it then took about 5mins for them to appear. One of the waiters said they had run out of bowls to put them in and that we had only just started our meal. At which time we pointed out that the reason we had only just started was that we were waiting for the mint sauce and horseradish .They also said that not everyone likes sauces so we suggested that they ask that question when taking the orders then there wouldn't be an issue. We had to get a drink changed as there was lipstick around the rim. The manager didnt seem to like the fact that we had complained and walked straight by us when we came out without thanking us for out custom. Having said that the young lad and girl who served us at the table were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. It's a shame these things happen as it would have been a 5 star visit as the food was very tasty good sized portions and...

Great place. Can't rate it highly enough. Great beer and food selection in a building very conducive to a good time. They have 3 hotel rooms on the premises. All are beautifully presented. Not the cheapest but well worth the extra few pound. Excellent well presented breakfast. All the staff I dealt with were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again if I was in the vacinity. 5 star ++++

Really great Pub with world class food! I had the Lobster Thermodore for starters, Pork Belly with Apple Puree, honey roasted carrots and a few other goodies for mains, and an awesome triple spoon Ice Cream Sundae for dessert🍨 My brother thought he was funny messing with my photos... We had such good service and the ladies are very friendly😄 Highly recommended visit if you in the area.

Having worked in the Stamford area for the last 2 years. The Collyweston Slater has become my favorite place to stay. Amie and her team are brilliant and they always have a warm welcome. The rooms are smart, tidy and cozy and the food is second to none. It's also in a great location close to Stamford if anyone is ever attending events taking place in and around the town.
