Found this beautiful little pub , they had one table left as they were so popular! So we were lucky to get a walk in table. My husband had the roast lamb with mash , red wine gravy and veg. My son had the Angus burger with fries . Both of thier meal were lovely ! But the fisherman's pie was out of this world. I had that with veg , it does come with bread but I didn't want it . It was the beat fisherman's pie I have had . There was so much fish , big chunks of it . The sauce was beautifully creamy and flavourful . The mash was soft and smooth with a lovely cheese crust on top. Service was impeccable, staff were very friendly , place was clean and has amazing views . I highly recommend!!! No pics of food unfortunately but pics of the views :)

Lovely, cosy pub with a great atmosphere and incredible food. We decided to visit on a whim last night with our toddler and dog and despite us not booking and the pub being busy, the gent behind the bar (I am assuming he was the manager or owner) found us a table very quickly. It didn’t take long for food to arrive and it tasted incredible, my partner had the veggie chilli (best we have ever tasted!) and I had the chicken and ham pie - which again, tasted incredible. The views here are spectacular too, definitely somewhere I would recommend anyone to visit if coming to the Isle of Wight.

Lovely pub, great Sunday roast, and good service even though it was busy. Definitely book a table if it's likely to be a busy day, we didn't but got lucky and only sat outside for a few minutes for a space inside to open up. There's a car park just beyond the pub, so there's no need to park along the road as some people were doing. Keep your eye out for the turn on the way up the hill. It comes up quickly, and there's nowhere to turn around before the end of the road if you miss it.

I really didn’t want to leave a bad review as the Food was really nice. However the atmosphere let our visit down very much. When first arriving, we chose a bench outside, got Menus without a hassle and ordered our Food and Drinks once deciding on what we fancied. Upon ordering, I noticed I was looked up and down at in a judgemental manner, by a member of staff who was watching me order at the Bar. The Lady behind the Bar was however quite pleasant to talk to, regardless of myself and my Husband feeling rather judged by her also, she was the kindest Staff Member there too. The Table we sat at was dirty and had bits of remaining food, from other Customers, stuck to the Table. People were allowing their Children to tip the Dog Drink Bowls upside down, which had actually got my foot wet. Other Customers also made us feel uncomfortable, by being overly loud and just not very respectful to other people in that space. To top it off, we were in the middle of eating our Meals and a Member of a staff came over and took the Ketchup from our Table, without even asking if we had finished and did not even bother asking if everything was good with our Food. We also found it quite pricey, which we don’t mind paying a bit of a higher price for good Food, but when you are not being met with the Service you would expect and being able to enjoy a nice Day in a good Atmosphere, it all just lets it down massively. My Husbands BBQ Chicken Burger was nothing like we expected either, it was coated in a little BBQ sauce and nothing like a Butterfly Breast, how it was described. It’s safe to say, we won’t...

Not a child friendly place, my toddler was crying for about 30 seconds and the waitress comes out condescendingly looking down at my dog and said to my dog “oh dear thats loud isn’t it?” I looked at her and she gave me a smirky look and walked away. I’d rather have her tell me straight nicely “can you calm your baby down?” Which is what any parent would’ve been trying to do anyway which I was doing and he calmed down. Not many people in the place anyway. The place was nice and clean, the guy at the bar was welcoming and friendly, said most tables are booked but we can sit and go before the other guests arrival time. Brilliant location and dog friendly and very clean and comfortable. Cauppaucino was nice too! I have to add that the same waitress was nice when handing my coffee its just that when my child was crying for not that very long she became different. So I guess they have low tolerance for toddlers crying. I understand if the crying goes on for a minute then step in but only a few seconds is quite ridiculous for her to...

Can't beat the location - if you seat outside or just take a quick walk before or after your meal you get treated to possibly some of the best views on the Isle. The service was one of the friendliest I've ever received - the ladies running this place really made us feel at home! I just wish Google allowed half-marks (4.5) - as 4 feels somewhat unfairly low, but then I can't bring myself to give it 5 just on the account of the food. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it - it was fresh and cooked to a standard - but you wouldn't come to this pub just for a gastronomic experience. I would also always love any country pub more if it lost the 5 taps of industrial lagers that all taste exactly the same anyway, and got a couple more cask pumps instead (they do have 3 though,...
