Staff here make a lovely cup of coffee and there’s always great breakfast/lunch time food to choose from.
Sadly today me and my partner decided to come here for a nice relaxing hot drink in the garden area and during our time here, the owner and management decided to have disciplinary discussions with their members of staff. It felt very awkward as it sounded like they were being spoken to like children, not something you want to be witnessing or hearing as a paying customer. We were sat in this area before discussions began and by the time the 2nd member of staff was called in to the “naughty chair” we had to make the decision to get up and move to the main front area.
All the staff that work in the cafe appear very friendly and hard working. I hope they are respected as adults in this very stressful...

However, arriving in crispy January morning and finding out that the cafeteria is more of a gift shop, and that there is only outdoor seating available, was not a pleasant surprise. Read moreI love this coffee shop! Friendly service, a big selection of yummy fresh cakes and slices, as well as homemade healthy sandwiches. And great coffee! It is also a lovely space, selling beautiful and unique gifts for the home, candles, diaries, cards and eco-friendly products. The also sell a range of artisan breads, sourdough, granary etc.
My only gripe was one of the gluten-free sourdough breads. It was awful. Tastes unpleasant and would not go brown in the toaster, ever! Just gets harder and harder! Is this typical of...
