There's beer in this pub. That's the mark of a good pub y'know. In fact, it has been said that the quantity of beer in a pub is directly proportional to how good the pub is. A graph showing this would look like a true bell curve though because if the quantity of beer rises too far it will start to displace people and then the pub won't be very good at all as all the people would be stood outside and the pub would just be like a big beer store room and everyone would have to come to my house for a drink and I wouldn't want that because I have a new carpet in my living room and it would get messed up by all the shoes. I've seen the state of some of the shoes people wear in the pub and they're not nice. I couldn't even ask people to take off their shoes as I've nowhere to put them, they'd probably end up in the oven as I sometimes use it for storage on account of it just being a metal cupboard when it isn't turned on, but I keep my baking trays in there so I'd have to find a different place for my baking trays and quite frankly I can do without the stress, but it's ok because at this pub at least there is sun outside (apart from when there isn't) and it shines on the beer garden and car park so the people could stand in the beer garden or car park and just be handed beer through an open window or something. It means I...

Read moreWe decided to go somewhere we hadn't eaten before and ended up at The Drax Arms. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the pub was nice. It was good to see them taking social distancing seriously. I ordered cheese on my burger and it arrived without cheese. I tried to raise this with staff but they weren't anywhere to be seen and so eat my food in fear of it going cold. I asked the staff member whether or not I forgot to order cheese and she replied I am not sure what you ordered. I asked her to check and she replied she wasn't sure still. The bill arrived and I was charged for cheese, I didn't raise it after that as I didn't want another round of not sure or don't know. We were sadly asked not to run away without paying as we had a tab open between the four of us. This was a little uncomfortable as you can imagine. The food could have been a bit more tasty with the nacho crisps tasting plain. A bit of seasoning all round would have...
