What can I say - The Elm Tree is an incredible country pub. I moved to the area in the last year and came across the pub when looking for a Sunday lunch spot. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with the place. The staff, particularly Adrian, the new landlord, and Ryan, who took over as front of house, are fantastic. They're not only professional but also incredibly welcoming, making every visit special. In a testament to the kitchen staff, particularly Yazz & Mikaela - the Sunday roast at The Elm Tree is, hands down, the best I've ever had. I've taken many friends and family there, and they all agree with me. But it's not just the Sunday roast that stands out; the regular menu is also outstanding. The quality of the food is always on point, with every dish showcasing the care and expertise of the kitchen. Also, my partner is vegetarian with specific dietary preferences, and they consistently excel in accommodating these, offering tailored and satisfying options that cater perfectly to her needs! The atmosphere in the pub is just as impressive. We were welcomed with open arms and have always felt comfortable there. It's more than just a place to eat and drink; it's a community hub where we've made friends with the staff and other locals alike. This was particularly great for us, having only recently moved into the area. Moreover, The Elm Tree's dog-friendly nature has been perfect for our 2-year-old Black Lab, Jango, who loves visiting as much as we do, especially to see Ady and the team. I truly see The Elm Tree as our local pub, and I hope to spend many more years enjoying its friendly atmosphere, delicious food, great beer and excellent service. It's clear that this place is not just a business but a passion for those who work there, and that's what makes it so special.

Absolutely awesome evening. The service was great, friendly welcoming and above all else the best dining experience we have ever had. This was our first visit and we only live 10 mins away, we have been missing out!! We ordered a simple nibble, my favourite, padron peppers šŸŒ¶ļø they were delicious! We both ordered a burger, I ordered mine deconstructed as I like mine in bite size chunks, rather than all in a bun (I know a little fussy). My word I could not believe how amazed I was when I saw the chef bringing it out for me, followed by the landlord with my wife's burger. This was the best service we have ever had. The burgers constructed and deconstructed were absolutely delicious and huge portion size (wish I could eat it all). I was over the moon with the service, delivery, food and best of all the homemade chilli that the landlord gave to us to take home (maybe I should not have shared this, but, what a touch of kindness). We will definitely, definitely be eating / visiting here again. Thank you Jaz (Head Chef) and Adrian (Landlord) for making our date evening one to remember. ā¤ļø

I was in the area for work and stopped by for an early dinner around 17:30. The special of the day was duck breast, with a raspberry jus, tender stem broccoli, bacon peas, and gratin potatoes. The meal was presented really nicely. The combinations were great but everything just needed a little more seasoning (otherwise would have been 5stars). The duck was cooked really nicely as was everything else. The experience was great, the service staff were lovely and attentive. The gastropub is in such a scenic area, and the patio is unbeatable. I wish I lived closer as I’d frequent this spot! P.S.: the interior decoration is worth a stop in itself- classic country pub aesthetic.

Fantastic location for a country stroll before or after a visit to the Elm Tree. You will mot be disappointed. Book well in advance for a weekend treat šŸ˜‹ There was a warm welcome on arrival and a good selection of šŸø šŸ· šŸŗ to choose from. Table service was prompt personable and informative. As it was Sunday, I went for the roast chicken. Wow ,they don't skimp on the portion sze . The chicken skin had a little crisp to it and well cooked and rested. Flavoursome, yes. Fab šŸ‘Œ roasted spuds and all veg cooked to perfection. All brought together with a decent gravey. Sticky toffee pudding to finish šŸ˜‹ plate picked clean šŸ˜‹ šŸ‘Œ All in all a good do was had by all. Tip ....if busy parking on site is limited, alternative parking is on the muddy verge . Thanks to the front of house staff for still smiling after entertaining over 130 covers and Ade and the kitchen staff for a very pleasant Sunday afternoon lunch šŸ˜€ and a lovely memory. šŸ˜ I am looking forward to our...
